This episode is vintage in itself! Got my 96 LS400 to break for the engine, that was five years back. What a great car these are. And now it's getting a turbo it'll get that extra power it needs.
This episode "teaser" is a perfect example of what made Wheeler Dealers great in the first place. In these early episodes (With Edd China and before they came to America) were a lot more relatable, the new episodes are all about what you can do / fabricate if you have £100000 worth of tools and machines, and not about what the average person can do to smarten up their car
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Tommy Garrett Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The departure of Ed China from Wheeler Dealers was just like the departure of Clarkson, Hammond and May from Top Gear. In both cases, the show never recovered, because those presenters WERE the show.
@@colinmorand129 true, my muffler guy in NYC is in the iron triangle where they say all the chopped up cars end up. Plenty of used wheels and tires around junk yards and stuff.
"(...) handsfree mobile phone unit (...) Only top drawer executive cars have kit like this" 😂🤣🙃 Now if you were still in any doubt about whether this was an old video re-release or a brand new one, that surely gives away how ancient the vid really is. These days even the likes of a VW Up are equipped with 'kit' like that straight out of the factory 😁 Nice to see one featuring Edd though!
One of my first UA-cam videos was of my 1993 ls400 from 7 or 8 yrs ago.... I gave up on it and sold it for 1000 this video made me wish I had kept it and fixed her up
You telling me they just put 215/45/17 wheel/tyre combo meant for a 1.5 tonne compact exec on a 2+ tonne land barge?! That's way way way under tyres! Both sidewall and width! Of course it has the same f**king stud pattern, it doesn't mean they'll actually work as OEM part should!
17 inch will look nice but the ride will be poorer. 16 would have been better choice. The LS wasn't designed for big wheels. Trust me, the original design and engineering team knew best.👍
It is amazing how many UA-cam gearheads have no engineering background and are quick to jeopardize their lives and those around them in comic experiments in second guessing to achieve a different look with retrograde results.
Low profile tires and wheels make sidewall vulnerable to sudden and catastrophic failure, not to mention ruining the smooth ride of the best Lexus (LS400). Every pothole you go over is a hazard to your car, because sharp edge of defect in pavement can cut the thin sidewall. This is a lot less apt to happen with normal road tires. Don't tart up your Lexus. It's not a racing car and doesn't benefit from these unrecommended boy racer additions. Ask the manufacturer, if you disagree.

Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Kaleb Roberto Happy to help :)
LOVE these older episodes. They were working on cars that the regular guy could afford
In the overhead shot, the clear corners and wheels made an incredible difference
Ls400 ,, one of the greatest Japanese cars ever !!

Of course I'm looking at this, because Edd is on it.
I used to watch these whan I was a kid damn I used to like this, Edd is a legend
james may wouldnt approve this "STANDARD!"
Doubt it, I will do this kind of modernization as well. The wheel is overkill but for the lenses, it's spot on
I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for the 1080p HD

The new ones are gorgeous too but the MKI LS is, imho, special.

I have subscribed your channel but you have not uploaded any of full episodes means can't see the whole jobs done for the car like I use to see on tv
Really love the wheel locks.
What is the name of the company that fixes or sell the the kit display for the stereo? I need it for a Lexus and a BMW E46. Thank you
Thumbs down for now showing the final product, especially driving the car with the new rims. Disappointing.
Did u get Ed back
Yes. They also shaved 16 years off their ages.
Yes
Thats an asian market XV30 camry wheels
You really uploaded this without showing the end result??
I miss the show
How could this car get any dislikes? You guys aren’t car enthusiasts...
It’s understandable some people likes to keep everything as original as possible.

She'll be right, just send it

These upgraded wheel will give you new upgrade shocks and pain to your back !thats a good thing
Really stretching the definition of vintage but still a nice car
Ever heard of torquing the lug nuts?
Only watching this cause Edd was on it .

Aren't HID lights in halogen housing illegal in the UK?
Only if you get nicked?
No, this isn't Matt Farah's million mile Lexus.

16mm socket will remove the lock and wheel nut haha
Is this Matt Farrah's million mile lexus?
When the only thing in HD is the final of the video.
Utterly unique locking wheel nut??!! nope they are like snap on toolboox keys they are duplicated
Eds wrong about these big wheel performance gains
Colquwm legendas em português!
Cool
Imagine Mike saying "33,333"
The new wheels are so tiny, they look like shit. Should be a thikker rubber there.
The headlights are illegal! Projector lenses needed for HID bulbs.
Gangster
Horrible wheels . Much prefer normal alloys
Ещё бы перевод на русский!)))
No way. The old wheels were way better. Just needed cleaning.
3:42 "...the LCD display" - Liquid Crystal Display Display
Are you obsessed with OCD disorder?
I think it's liquid crystal digital?
@@robertpryor7225 Are there analog LCD's?
Rims say is200 but they're for an LS400? Shurely shome mistake.
@horsepowercartel 💥
Stupid idea fitting IS200 wheels on to a 2 ton ls400
Awfull cheap wheels on a LS400.
