- In this video we spend time out in the field with a John Deere S790 combine harvesting the 2019 corn crop. Viewers will spend time in the cab of the combine seeing the operator Matt's perspective of running a 543 hp 400 bu. John Deere S790 combine in a 1,300 acre field with four other S790 combines and four John Deere 9420R 4wd tractors and Kinze 1105 grain carts.

Please tell Matt that he is a cool dude and thanks for letting us take a ride with him 💪❤️ thanks BTP
This is the kind of place that's always looking for a young ambitious guy like Matt who loves to work for a big farming operation and they in turn need to reward him handsomely I hope! All the ground and high tech , high dollar machinery isn't good for to much without competent reliable help to run it and I'd say this farm must have a lot of them! I'm glad you have a good relationship with the owners and operators so you can bring us these great videos!
Thank you Matt for letting BTP film all the work it takes to make the farm get all its crops done.

People always have something to say but 20% moisture is about ideal for corn harvest. Head loss goes up as it gets drier. Harvesting 18-22% generally reduces yield loss enough to pay the extra drying cost.
This is an awesome video! It was great to learn more about the combine features and operation, and how they go about harvesting a field that size. I hope you can do more videos like this one!
I was a farm hand as a teenager in central Illinois ran the trucks from the fields to the silos and augured the corn up into the silo. The farmer I worked for bought is first ever JD combine I was shocked always a Massy Ferguson man but that JD could harvest so much quicker. That was 1981 technology as came along way. Thanks for the video.
Tell Matt he’s a YT star himself and he’s in the big leagues now.
Arik Huebner He definitely is. Or he’s either going to end up being in some Ag television commercial... lol.
Maybe the best harvest video yet. Love that you were in the combine for several evolutions of shelling and unloading. Really showed the coordination involved in harvesting with multiple machines. Great job!
You all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Royal Kannon instablaster :)
@Oscar Jamal i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Oscar Jamal It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Royal Kannon You are welcome :)
I saw Matt from the combine servicing video you did last year around this time. He always has a cool set of shades on. Such a cool guy, and love watching your harvest footage BTP.
Great video. Enjoy seeing how the combine moves across the field. Matt is awesome at explaining what he is doing and how the combine operates. Enjoy seeing the actual picking and hauling of the corn.
Thank you big tractor it’s always nice to ride in the combine👍🏻🤗 and actually see what’s going on🐝🇺🇸👍🏻
That's what my Grandpaw use to call Big Farmin'. Great video. If he was still here he would be watching this.
Corporate farmers my friend
Good video and operators. Thanks to all!
incredible technology farmers have today. Cameras, feed rates etc all logged minute by minute. great video again. Please keep them coming!!
Looks like Matt has become BTP’s “leading man”.
Great video!! The last combine I ran was a 1999 Case IH 2388. I thought it was fancy. Lol
Love the long video showing what it is like in the cab. Also love watching it top off the Kinze cart on the go. Always neat watching that. Even when I'm driving I always like watching the corn come out the auger and fill up the cart.
Thanks to you btp and Matt.
What a set up.
Wonderful video 👍👍
Enjoyed watching corn harvesting🚜👍
Matt is pretty great at loading the graincarts.he fill them to the max and some. Hope he gets done soon eith no rain to stop him and the guys combining the corn
As always another great video brother. Keep up the awesome work you do and thanks for the channel. Combines are amazing machines. Looking forward to the next video.
Great as always and thanks Matt for Sharing your knowledge with us. Love the big KY farm!
Now THAT is an operation! Wow! Looks great 👍🏻
Great video! Love seeing the John Deere at work. Thanks for sharing.
Man those grain cart operators stay super busy.
All 4 stay on the move. The trucks barely keep up.
Excellent video, neat to be in the cab for all of it, thanks
Great video...was great to watch and see the operation of the combine
video spettacolare! s790 è una vera bestia! grande bitractorpower!!!
Tank you vidéo magnifique super bravo
Matt should start his own UA-cam channel! That would be super cool!!
Zachary Saurini he should!
Five Class 9’s in one field! Boom
Great video! The combine view has to be in the top 10 best office views.
Great job Jason and Matt. I have run a lot of combine and Matt makes it look easy. We start digging potatoes next week Jason. Your more than welcome to come out to Idaho and do some filming of the operation 😁😁👍🏼👍🏼
You should come to Central Ohio and spend a day at our farm. Darby Farms. We run a Gleaner S96 and a JD 8270R with a Kinze 1100 grain cart. We also run two Frieghtliners with Timpte grain trailers and a decant sized bin setup with a brand new 84 foot Westfield auger. We would love to show you all of them in action for your channel.
that moisture is about right for starting; bout what we did; it will only get dryer with the heat and less drying in dryer. lp isnt cheap
Very impressive to say the least!
Matt’s farm should do “harvest ride along holidays”,I’d pay good money for the experience
That LG Seeds is making some big bushels 5650.
Nice ride along green 🌽 corn eating machines
Pretty cool!! What a big outfit!! Thanks for the video!!!
Enjoyed the ride along! Your friend must farm a bunch of acres !
I wonder if he's an owner or a farmhand.
Central Illinois and Iowa farmers could learn a few things from these kentucky farmers...one thing about it the know how to work...thanks!
What do u mean by that!? Duh
Thanks for sharing!!
That was your best harvest video yet.
Thank you for watching.
Wow that has a good sound block
Awesome video TY for sharing
Brilliant video, thanks so much
Beautiful
Crazy how two parts of the state have such a large yield difference. Here in central part of the state we are seeing 150ish bushels/acre where last year we was in the 200+ range.
That was a awesome video, love the ride along. Double thanks for the great video 😎
Wow super excited
Love the Matt videos. Keep the videos coming Jason.
Excellent !!!
Thank you for watching.
God Bless America
Really powerful machine!
Matt looks like he likes to party.....
Amazing. Thank you for this very interesting video!!
Thank you for watching.
Q vídeo exelente top
Awesome video. Thanks
Thank you for watching. Matt will be about harvesting wheat in about 3 weeks for a new video.
Now that’s farming 👍🏼
I liked it! Exciting. I would do that for free for one day, but too far away.
JIM
I enjoy getting out in the field to see these machines at work too. Thank you for watching.
Quality channel this one. Well done sir!
Another great video, Jason. Matt is a nice guy to share his knowledge with us. I hope you go back in that 3,000-acre field. Do those combines have a good cold A/C?
I'd love to work for this crew it would be awesome
Yes
It would have to be!
If you could it would be nice to see a video on a mid-sized machine, 9500's series combine kinda range. Otherwise great vids all the time!
Stay tuned for a 4420 and a 1460 in corn soon.
the F9 was sure spilling a lot of grain before the cart showed showed up! Must have been a custom cutter a owner would have stopped before starting a new run, I think.
Thank you for the video!
Thank you for watching.
Perfect brother .....
John deere lo mejor marca del mundo
A good video.
Great job on this video.
Best video yet!!!
Good stuff, very interesting, keep doing what you're doing guys.
Question for you. How does the combine operator and the grain cart operator know when the combine auger is lined up?
What kind of coordination is required between the two of them when emptying on-the-fly?
I wasn't very much communication by radio, but I'm sure those distinctive electronic beeps I heard inside the combine cab mean different things. Otherwise they would all be the same tone LOL
Great video as always!
Thank you for watching.
e outro nivel muito bom
Dang where is all this green corn heading.totally new age.
Nice
i like more time in cabin
Thank you for watching.
Great video
nice video boys !! awesome
Matt gonna havfta wash his combine isn’t as clean as his sprayer.nice video
im from australia that was the best video on farm machinery i have seen .ilive in australias biggest rice growing irrigation area.is it possibble to do a similar video with the class 8900 the newest heavy weight combine harvester
Hey man you better idle that baby down when you leave the auger full.. gonna blow the gear box under a load like that..
That’s why there’s a shear bolt on the pulley 👌🏼 I keep two 16 mm wrenches in the cab.
Great Video, really interesting content!
Looks like they need to get some bigger Kinze grain carts
The cart fills the truck when it arrives in the field. A bigger cart would have to wait to partially fill a second truck. This set up has a good flow.
Great vid! Why do not they make draper Corn heads??? I cannot figure that out, lol
It would be interesting to se the 19 trucks and the drying plant.
Thanks
26:15 the USDA on their way back with the samples they pulled from 10 corn plants
That is a lot of orchestration with all those combines and green carts and and rakes to haul all that corn off the field but my question is where does all the dust come from I mean those corn stocks seem to be more duster than other ones that I’ve seen
Wondering what you were referring to about the new 9R tractor numbers? We run 9R’s and I’m curious about what the next model year change will bring. Hopefully more hp! Maybe a 9700R:)
The next generation of John Deere tractors model numbers will read 9R 420, 8R 370 etc... instead of 9420R and 8370R. There are new cabs, new head lights. More black trim around the decals. I think we will at least see the 8R and 8RX at the big show in Louisville, KY next year.
The numbers on the grain buggy is the number of bushels they hold
Matt I'm doing all I can do on the trucks buddy
you’re doing the best dude! I dunno about the rest of your crew though
I want to ride with them too
I seen where some binding corn with green leaves to I thought they must be running it though a dryer
1300 and 3000 acre field???!!!!!!!!
I have a couple 200 farms and they are big for Ontario.
And our corn is crap due to wet planting followed by a july/August drought.
Way weather has been here too
thx BTP for that vid! It’s awesome 👍🏻 How many acres of corn does this farm harvest?
Several thousands if it's the Greenwell farms I know they farm at least 4 or 5 county's here in western Kentucky
I remember a Massey 780
Mind you it was UK our Corn is Wheat Oats Barley not much Maize opps sorry Corn
Gordon Exmouth Uk
Do they employ many people? Looking for a job driving a combine probably next year?
i have a 2144 axial flow combine with a 6 row corn head and a 20 ft bean head
Very cool. The 2144 is on my filming wish list to feature.
The unloadeders at the grain bins need to hurry up with 15 semis there's no reasons they should be piled up like that.
