Picked this up based on your rec. Great no nonsense video. Would love to see some reviews of more of the albums in your collection.... maybe even a collection tour. Keep them coming my man!
Thanks for the video. I've been keeping an eye on this boxset since it's release and finally bought it yesterday. Now waiting for it to be delivered to do an unboxing video. I second you, the 90's records deserve a boxset release too. It's kinda strange that most os the Ramones 80's and 90's records have never been re-released after all these years. Oh, and by the way, there is a color version of Subterranean Jungle being released soon, haha, you may want to get a 4th version of it
Thanks for this, I appreciate you going through each record and all the details. I'm not as big of a fan of the Ritchie era (though there's some songs I like). Pleasant Dreams and Subterranean Jungle are all I really want, so I've passed on this box so far. If it ends up not selling out and I can get it for cheap (super unlikely), I might splurge, we'll see. Good to hear that it sounds about as good as the originals.
I'm assuming you're in the UK since I've heard this is releasing over there on the June RSD date... most of the stores here in the states had some of these leftover the day after when the online sales started. You shouldn't have much trouble finding it. If you just want those two records, someone made bootleg pressings of them this year. Just look at the Discogs release pages for Pleasant Dreams and Sub Jungle, they're the only pressings released in 2022. Those go for like $25 shipped.
@@mystupidrecordcollection4340 I'm in the US. I just meant that sometimes supply outstrips demand for RSD releases and you can eventually get them for cheap. But I'd be very surprised if that happened here.
@@brokewithaudiophiletaste6076 Ah I see what you meant now. Yeah there are still some copies of the box set in circulation, enough that I've noticed resellers dropping their prices a bit.
Fellow Ramones fan here. So the vinyl is well pressed, no sound issues? A couple of the 40th anniversary reissues were maligned by fans for having sound issues. Just makes me worry a little bit. Constructive suggestion: Do you write scripts for your videos? Might help improve your videos.
@@OrangeSunshine1969 I definitely don’t expect it anytime soon. It’s a tricky thing because Phil specter himself was a very particular man and even if he was alive it’s unlikely he would’ve signed off on altered versions of those songs. Him dying just makes it even more difficult
Lol dude....I think She Belongs To Me is hands down the worst Ramones song ever released. I hesitate to even call it a "Ramones" song. It's Joey and a pile of synths. Horrific. But to each his own. Cool collection.

I have the old copies so tempted to get the new set. I love the RAMONES. I will get it!!!! Thanks for the review. 🖤

I did in fact get the purple Sub Jungle repress and now have four copies 🤦♂️
Solid review i love these later albums as well. Only one I’m missing is brain drain!!
Thanks. Just ordered mine in UK. Have everything already, but looks nice. It’s an addiction…😀

My favorite years
Less popular albums?… no such thing
Nice set!
Did your box came with the stickers set?
Rhino has to reissue End of the Century.
I'm sure it'll happen, that's free money for the label and the estates
Its done snd ready to go according to Ed Stasium. Its just stuck in record company limbo.
@@OrangeSunshine1969 really? That’s good to hear. I’ve been waiting on that reissue since 2020 and it would be nice to finally get that record
Don’t expect it anytime soon. Apparently its having issues with Phil Spector’s estate.
