- Join us in the Coddiwomple Garage as we continue transforming Alan and Nancy's Jeep JLU into an awesome overlanding rig. On this episode, we install a set of JKS Quicker Disconnects sway bar end links to help them with their trail comfort and articulation

Just wanted to mention that I have a 2017 Rubicon and just installed a set of the fully removable disconnects from JKS earlier this year. The fully disconnected version doesn't require any cutting of any tabs. People might want to consider it instead of this kit which appears to require the cut.

I’ve use JKS then Currie AntiRock. I’m returning to JKS due to little to no Rock crawling anymore. Travel and different style Offroading trails is where the machine takes me. They are without a doubt a very good upgrade

This is how I remember it. Manual. Now days it's electric, and I hear sometimes water can cause issues.
The manual works great for us. I have also heard of electric disconnect issues but, I don't have any person experience with electric.

I am anxious to see what you do to your new Mojave. I have a 2020 and am thinking of what to do to it. I love the ride I get on the factory suspension but would like to have some more off-road capability.
We have some pretty big plans for it!
Got these on my 21 JL Rubicon. Put them on so I don'g have to worry about the obvious issues utulizing the E Sway Bar Disco. I will still use the E Sway bar dicso on drit roads where I run into a spot where I know I'll end up on 2 or 3 wheels if i don't and I have a nice piece of solid ground to reconnect afterwards but for serious trailing/overlanding/crawling, JKS the way to go.

You can E sway dez Nubz bc that isn’t even a real Jeep. Chystler 4.0 last of the real jeeps. Jus jk tho nice truck nevertheless 👊

i removed the front swaybar in my 2014 tundra after i did my lift kit with heaver duty springs. ride quality was the number one reason/ thing i noticed. the on road difference is there, but not as bad if you have stiffer suspension. (adjust it to firm when on the road) i would do a kit like this if it is ever made for the tundra!

Great video! Had same links installed with my lift and I’m noticing a 3/4 lean on the passenger side. I know that’s somewhat a jeep thing but also noticed the passenger side link is 1/2 shorter. Are yours the same length? Could that cause the lean?
They should be the same length. That can cause a lean.

I installed mine on a 07 JK and didn't cut that tab. Did you cut yours because you had to or just to make it easier to disconnect? I noticed the release pin is bent a little due to the close tolerance of the over all fit.
You don't have to cut anything on the JKs. The JLs are different
At 3:55, you show a bracket that’s used to secure the end links when not in use. Did this come with your kit or were they an additional purchase? I’ve read that some guys completely remove the sway bar links, sounds like a hassle. The brackets you installed make a lot of since. What do you do with the disconnected sway bar? Some say they bungle or zip tie the bar out of harms way. Thanks!
Those brackets do come.with the kitchen for the JL. Im not sure on the JK as I got mine used and bought brackets for Teraflax. The end links stay connected to the sway bar and the axle end connects to the bracket holding the sway bar secure and up.out of the way. I hope.this explains it a little better. Nice video! More people need this info! I like the DBBB footage that you used! We were down there making a couple videos on Spaas creek last week. I have both of the sway bars completely removed on my forester. Its a totally different vehicle than your jeep. My forester still handles well on the road without them because it has a low center of mass and fully independent suspension. Have you done Pumpkin Hollow recently?
