    Great video man! I've been using a SilverStone MS09 enclosure and a Samsung SSD 860 EVO M.2 500GB for three years now and it's been great especially, because I do a lot of photography and often being on the road, this is a blast to use. Your video made me wonder if I need to do an upgrade. However, you know what they say, if it ain't broken, don't fix it :)

    I needed this video. Thanks. I just ordered one of these enclosures and I used your link. You helped me build my first PC a couple years ago with your video with the Ryzen 5 3600 and b450 gaming plus max (the 3600 was sold out so I went with the 2600 but I used the same motherboard). Anyway I needed this enclosure so I can swap out the slower Intel 660p 512GB that came with my HP Pavilion Aero 13 laptop (Ryzen 7 5800u version) and put in the XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB leftover from my first build since it's literally double the speed of the 660p.

    I just bought 2 1TB WD Black SN850Xs with heatsink (on sale for $92 USD each if you buy two); one for each of my PCs. I've also just ordered two more 1TB drives (the cheaper SN770s without heatsink) as backup drives and two of the Sabrent enclosures. I also went with Sabrent because of the quality. I currently have a Sabrent USB-C dock for 3.5 and 2.5 SATA drives that works phenomenally I so figured I'd stick with a known good brand.

Unfortunately all of my other devices max out at USB 3.1 Gen 1, which tops out at 500-600MB/sec. Still slightly faster (and cheaper) than the average SSD based external drive, but most people probably don't realize their speeds will be limited below USB 3.1 Gen 2, and only around 1000MB/sec even with Gen 2.

    I am a bit disappointed, I bought the same as you and it has a write speed of 438 mps and a read speed of 460 mps, I was expecting a lot more, why is mine that much different, I am on a 10 year old Mac.

    Its not 10gb speed your getting. Your getting 1gb read and under 1gb write speeds. 10GB is 10,000MB. Your barely getting the advertised speed of the WD SSD.

      10GB = 10,000 MB. 1GB = 1024 MB.

    Samsung won't always be the best of everything. It is just a good brand!

    I would highly advise NO ONE use a drive not on the BMD list of approved drives for recording with their cameras. Unless you want to attempt to explain a failed drive to a client.

      These drives are on the tilta mod if you were gonna get one for the BMPCC 6k/4k :)
      But I agree!

    Stop recommending garbage products. This is a misleading review.
