Be carefull... Most of this stuff is not counting in Switzerland or Germany.
Try to learn about normal business tax etc in swiss , without the film backround.
Best is to work in film before to learn about also contracts etc.
But be aware, the normal film worker has no idea about the legal work.

Comparable for an LLC for Germany is a GmbH , but tax means to be wayyy more work than being just a simple single entrepreneur

Yes I did mention in the video that what I talk about is for American taxes. Anyone outside of America should do their research on the equivalent

Most producers I’ve spoken with have had a horrible time with traditional indie distributors and sales agent. My own experience was horrible with an action film that I got into 20+ countries.

If you bought all of your equipment with your personal money instead of through an llc, do you know if there is a way to use your business funds to repay the personal expenditures?

You'd really have to check with an accountant, but I would assume not.

Music license question. If you want a local band to do a cover song from a well known artist. How do you go about getting the licenses? Mechanical & all so it's showcased in one of your scenes?

Unfortunately I'm not super familiar in this area. I think they may need to still get permission from the artist, but again I'm not entirely sure.

Do you do marketing for your films? If so, how? Thanks!!!

Little too much to explain over a comment. I need to do a video eventually, but if you are a no budget filmmaker you need to find what makes your film unique. That could be you too. Use the social media platforms where your audience is. Paid ads. It really just depends.
