Hey manav.... great great video loved it 💯💯...a quick question can we not drink tsomoriri water?? and can you elaborate on that part about muddy water just a little information would help... Thank you as always you are amazing keep hiking 💯💯
Hello Shravan,
Tsomoriri is a brackish water lake so I think it is better to boil the lake water before drinking it.
The river streams are usually clear and clean as well but in particicular seasons like monsoon the water becomes unsafe to drink.
In most of the rivers in Ladakh, I have noticed that the river is clean only during the day, when the volume of water is high (due to more glacial meltwater adding to the stream) but late evening and early morning the water turns grey and thus is not suitable for drinking.
Pangong Tso and Tsomoriri are both salt water bro.. not fit for a drink haha.. the evaporation for tousands of years left the sodium behind and horribly salty.. :)
Hi Manav great video and unbelievable effort!! I thought I would share a couple of pieces of equipment that could possibly help you on other adventures like this one. 1. SteriPEN water purifier, a little expensive but small, compact and lightweight. It's great for purifying water as long as the water is not muddy. It would be perfect for lakes like Tsomoriri. 2. NRS neoprene water socks, these are great for keeping your feet warm/protected on cold river crossings and water hiking. They also prevent blisters. I use both of these items on my backpacking trips here in the US. I am enjoying your videos : )
Thank you very much for all the suggestions. I will definitely add some of these to the gear list when I attempt the same run in 2023.
Congrats Arun, great landscape and great video.
Thanks Rohit
I have been a Google map freak for quite some years. I saw some trails and nomadic camp sites while searching this remote area of ladakh. And quite surprised why BRO haven't construct road from pang to chumur vis tso moriri. Then i saw your video, I can't justify how thankful to you that seeing such remote trails and passes. 🙏🏻

26:03 😂😂 julley julley..
Haha
Iska shorter version hai? I mean between 20-50km?
Nope
Probably you could have checkpoints saying you need to be here by this time. This way you could take turnaround decisions.
Try Vaseline for cheeks friction
Yes, I will do the same next year. This was the first attempt so it was tough to set intermediate cut offs.
I was applying Vaseline only. The best way is to prevent the rashes. So figuring out ways to do so.
@@AskManavTV I have leg chaffing issue and I apply Vaseline before the walk. You need to apply it before the start of exercise

❤️🐣
Great run. And I know exactly what you are talking about with your butt cheek problems. I had that many times in long races.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
There's something in your videos. Once I start watching I can't close in between. You talk less but have more to show.
Thank you very much.
