Great review, would u recommend it 4 gigs, or just cross over to the Rekordbox 1000? What’s been ur most dependable Pioneer rig? Can u do a clean echo out with the onboard effects?
Hey, how has the unit been for gigs, now that uv had it 4 awhile? What’s been ur most dependable pioneer rig? Can u clean echo out with the onboard effect, or have 2 use ur laptop pad/mouse?
I have no issues bringing this to gigs with me. Grab this case: amzn.to/3dgLOjj its durable, but not as heavy as a road case. If you are really worried about portability... grab the DDJ SR2: amzn.to/3rUY7Ge
How Did MIDI map with the Shift Button so you can hold the Shift Button and Use the Pads? I want to Midi Map the Shift to activate one of the Knobs so I can control the Crossfader Curve in Serato. Cause been trying to figure that out.. I can only Midi Map the Sampler Volume to act like a Crossfader Curve Adjustment, but I'll Lose my Sampler Volume, I Figured if I Hold Shift.. It Will give you an Option to use the Knobs to act in a different way.
VJ YOUKAI thats not my understanding of how the shift button works. I shift-clicked to the second pad mode and then used the midi feature as normal. Not sure how to map for crossfader curve and faders.
I got my Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT today and was testing it out for the first time. I'm upgrading from a Vestax VCI - 400. The issue i have is that the JogWheels on my DDJ-1000SRT is not sensitive enough. Is there a way i can adjust the sensitivity? I see the adjust knob where i can adjust the tension but i can't find a control for the sensitivity of the Jog wheels
Just give it some time and practice. I promise you will get used to it. You're using club-standard equipment not, so it's going to feel a little funky for the first 40-100hrs
I had to get use to the new jog wheels on my Xdj-xz as well. As mentioned, it definitely take some time to get use to. I still own the ddj-sz2, those jog wheels are not too bad. With that being said, I think my old Vestax 380 had the best scratching jog wheels of all time. I wish I would have kept that controller as a backup.
@@djAXCESSmusic Just curious if it's worth an extra $1k over the DDJ1000srt and how it interacts with Serato. I'm seriously looking to upgrade to the XZ. Thanks
Cyber monday came up and im looking for a laptop for my ddj1000. Question is...do i need a usb 2.0 port because the ddj-1000 manual says a usb 2.0 port is needed. Someone told me it should work fine on a usb 3.0 port laptop and another person said i need a usb 2.0 hub to get it to work? Whats your expert advice?
Great Review man!! Question would hooking up something like the DDJ XP2 for loops and Serato Effects would thats solve any of the issues u discussed? Also do you know of any other DJ controllers with Beat Effects.. kinda like the DDJ 1000? Thanks for your help man!
- SweetScale TV - i havent tried personally but I’m fairly certain the XP2 works alongside controllers to fill in some gaps and give you more control. The new XDJ-XZ has beat effects similar to the DDJ-1000
Thanks for the review. I saw one review where the built-in FX does not compute the BPM of the track selected. Was there a remedy that you found to fix that?
I know. Thanks man. I think the place I record in is just noisey so I have to edit a bunch of audio out in post. Working on solutions for the next video, I promise!
Was wondering if there are any adjustments I can make, it seems my beat sync is off when blending two songs with the same bpm, it seems they keep slipping out of rhythm as song continues?
@@djAXCESSmusic I upgraded from the SX3, mixes and blends were flawless on that, Not sure what manual adjustments I should try to make on SRT1000, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....:-)
DJ AXCESS sorry, I meant like In rekordbox ddj1000 if I press a cue point the track will start and play instantly and not need to also press the play button as well... in my case with ddj1000 srt I need to press the cue point and play button simultaneously in order to have it start and play... just wondering if there is a setting to make that happen... thanks 🙏
@@djace6713 I commented on the only video I see on your page... I don't see any issue. It you are talking about a hot cue, where the song starts when you hit a cue point, that's more of a rekordbox feature. at least from what I know.
The cue point on the screen of the controller is just simply MIRRORING the deck on the serato main screen. Thanks for the review. I saw one review where the built-in FX does not compute the BPM of the track selected. Was there a remedy that you found to fix that?
I don't really use the Serato FX.
yeah...it doesn't compute BPM via track data, via audio only and the BPM range starts at like 80bpm... :(
Brian L Haywood the firmware update of 10/19 was supposed to fix that
I just purchased the DDJ1000-SRT, do you have any tutorial how to setup Vinyl turntable to the mixer ?! Thank in advance

thank you for that I was going to say that. You can remap any controller to suit you. I don't see why people are complaining
The loop section is a huge oversight. I just can't do it. DDJ SZ2 for me.
can be quickly fixed with midi-remap. SZ way too big + expensive.
