I have a 97 Rodeo...I bought a LED voltage display from China ($2.00)...wired it to an old 12 plug that fits in cigarette lighter socket. I can watch the voltage ramp up & down (from 12.2 up to 14.3) as the alternator turns on/off. Never had any issue with the light bulb.
So you showed us a bulb but where was this bulb and how did you get to it. Where is it I? It still does not make sense was the bulb made to drain the power out of the battery? What is the purpose of the bulb? If someone showed you what you showed us and you did not know where it was located and what it may take to get to it or the size of the bulb. I have never owned an Isuzu before so please help me out here. How could that little bulb take out all the battery power? Plus what about the alternator problem?
That bulb is the for the battery light in the instrument cluster. The wiring for that bulb is the same wire that goes to the alternator and gives it power to charge your battery. If it burns out, the alternator will not charge your battery. Thanks for watching!

@@sherrodheadspeth39 it is located inside the instrument cluster. It's the battery light that comes on when your battery isn't being charged.
The bulb is used to excite the field winding of the alternator.
