Just tried a barry king French skiver. Not happy with it. Maybe good for saddle work but definitely not for personal leather goods. Love my palosanto edge bevelers and will try their French edgers.
If you had to choose one palosanto edge beveler size which would you go with? I am eyeing them up and would like with getting one. Currently leaning towards size 1.

@@strhandmade Thanks. Yeah possible in my location the climate is containing more water particles in the air which make it more wet and causes little rust particles over the metal. Also it increases when I touch the tools on the metal with hand. Usually I use gloves for this.
как по мне - на эбен меньше налипает остатков токонола или других агентов. ну и он лучше отполирован. сликер из обычного дерева с алиэкспресса я немного доводил 1500 наждачкой т.к. был ну прям совсем шершавый местами :)

I mostly make smaller items such as wallets, watch straps, and other small items. What palosanto edge beveler size suggestion would you make?
If it would be my choice, knowing that im using 1.4mm leather, i would go with size 0

Hello! Never had such problem. I have my knife for couple years, no any rust marks. Probably use some grease to prevent rust.

What size needle and thread are you using?
Since beginning I was using 1mm RItza Tiger thread, now im switching to 0.8mm. Cant size size of needles, i got them few years ago...
