  • This is a Toepler-Holtz electrostatic generator. (aka Voss machine)
    It is made of CDs, HDD spindle motor(hand-crank shaft), Plastic bottle, Rubber band, Aluminum tape and copper wire.
    The rotating disk shaft from laser printer.
    This clip shows leyden jar spark, Franklin's Bell, Volta's hailstorm and electrostatic motor experiments.
    This is very cheap & easy electrostatic generator for school experiment.

    does anyone know if it is possible if the collector's in all of these wimshurst's are not efficient and may only be collecting a fraction of the particles that the machine is generating?

    Does this work like a Lebiez's generator but without any contact?
    Why the blue caps? To avoid sparks between wires and rotating platform?
    Is aluminium put on both sides? It doesn't make sense but it seems...

    I love your videos and i think the experiments you do are amazing! i just have one question/request, would you be able to build a fully functional generator that can run on its own for at least 5-10 minutes? If you could make a video on that, that would be amazing! Thank you :D

      No. DC motor and DC generator are same structure. But electrostatic generator and electrostatic motor are different structure.

    Thank you ! Clean experiment! From my perspective, or rather from the perspective of the late Mr. Thomas Edison, the whole world is connected hahaha! The metal wires reinforce the low resistance effect compared to the air, and so the magic of the universe begins to be visible! My friend don't stop! ➰⚡🌟🌟⚡➰

    Danke ! Sauberes Experiment ! Aus meinem Perspektive, bzw: sehr wohl aus dem Perspektive des verstorbenen Mr. Thomas Edison, ist die ganze Welt miteinander verbunden hahaha ! Die metallene Drähte verstärken den Effekt mit ihrem niedrigen Widerstand im Vergleich zur Luft, und so beginnt der Zauber des Universums sichtbar zu werden ! Mein Freund höre nicht auf ! ➰⚡🌟🌟⚡➰

    • @TechnoW1zard
      @TechnoW1zard 7 років тому

      I've never built anything quite like this where its just electrostatic similar to whimshurst machine. Best bet is to post a circuit diagram somewhere and a video of what its doing. For static electric devices the air should be dry and where you want the spark, try to have a sharp edge and the spark gap points close together.

    Hi have you watched joe booker video joe cell horses mouth and video youtuber brey213 his video of joe booker called Suzuki his video man has recently told me the engine becomes a electrolytic capacitor and your cans with the ball richkcheting between them could easily be a piston from the condenser/ capacitor ( aluminium cylinder head and the internal aluminium piston ) I could do with the polarity tester you do so do you sell them and pete his friend tells me a right hand vortex swirl round the engine earth and a slight vacuum will make the engine run by static type attraction off natural air do you also sell any type of unregulated ion generator joe utilises the starter and alternator pulsed in a closed loop environment that makes the engine a fluid tesla coil which I think becomes a type of ion generator any help appreciated mel in uk

    • @GadgetAddict
      @GadgetAddict 10 років тому +2

      Well it's not free because it requires a human to spend energy turning the motor. But it's still a very fun experiment.

    • @funny1048youtube

      believe it or not your energy is being turned into static electricity none of that energy is free unfortunately an electrostatic generator would not work with no motor or human powering it

    I am ready to carry out the electricity generation project with angular resonance together with investors who agree to make an official protocol. I have worked for 15 years for this project. After the official signatures are signed, everything will be done openly. 98% of the videos published on are wrong and do not work. I know the mistake they all make.
