Solid Ship for Beginners, Top Tier Waifu and most importantly....the Biggest Enterprise counter. Still use her to this day, WAIFU > Meta. Cant wait for the Roon Slayer, best Yandere from the Faction of best Girls
I still use Enterprise in PvP because I trust my Vanguards to survive enemy shellings and plane strikes to tank the hits while Illustrious kept them extra alive. Then I have Warspite to Snipe the backline and Enty to provide extra DPSnand to clear the enemy vanguards. Like I know relying on one skill to procc all the time is bad in higher levels, but I just feel like Proccing Enty's skill in clutch situations and winning is just SO satisfying. Like when It's just enty vs the enemy backline. I love those scenarios so much.
Belfast is literally the reason I started to play this game so I have her to thank for going down this path. A large part of that was due to the anime but also in no small part to that smile, a kind, reassuring, professional smile with a hint of smugness to it.
Belfast is as Famous in game, as She is in Real Life, Like the Poster Girl of the Game and also very Famous, Enterprise, and Other Famous and Well known Ships (Girls) in Game, one of the Surviving Ships that Served from 1939 all the Way up to the 1960s (from Early World War 2 to the Early Stages of the Vietnam War), she is also one of the Ships that Assisted in the Normandie Landings, any Fan of Her would know she's sitting Pretty as a Museum Ship Right Now, a Famous Tourist Attraction in The Queen's Walk, London. I believe the Reason for Her to Have such a High Health Pool is Because she's Survived from 1939 all the way up to Today, with Her last Tour of Duty and Service in the 1960s, He Evasion, is well... Expected of a Light Cruiser, same with Her Armor, her AA is due to the Fact she's Armed with only 2 Types of AA 13mm Heavy Machine Guns and 40mm Auto Cannons, though Numerous, shes still Lacking in the AA Defense Department, he High Firepower is Due to the Fact she's Armed with Guns of 2 Calibers 152mmm Guns as Mains, and 102mm Guns as Secondaries, next is Her Torpedoes shes Armed with 6, 533mm Torpedoes, hence her Good Torpedo Stats, and her Reload... is to me atleast is Standard and Solid for Her... Her Abilities are Quite Based on Real Life too, the Burn Order if Mostly Like due to her Explosive Shells/Shots Making Fires upon Hitting Her Target (Generally, this Applies to almost All, if not, all Ships that Fires HE Shells, especially Bigger Caliber ones) and Her Smoke Screen ability is like something The Royal Navy Cruisers Have, for Utility Use, escape and confusing the enemy. One Final Thing about Belfast is Her Collar and Chain, this is either to represent her status as being chained to Thames river as museum ship, or a reference to City of Belfast's coat of arms, Bel-Chan/Little Bel has a Ribbon Choker instead. Also FYI to those who Don't know... Belfast is the the Younger Sister to Edinburgh, the Lead and Name Ship of Their Class, though at First Glance one can't Tell... But Edinburgh is the Eldest Sister, and Belfast is Her Younger Sister.
To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have grown that further and merging to the Iron Blood faction if it wasn't for her back in the early, early days. That smokescreen really did help out a lot for all the squishyness of my low-leveled shipfus, as well as her decent HE capabilities. I really do have to give plaudit and remuneration for Belfast's contribution for my progress with this one. I probably have given her my remuneration in a form of oathing her so... 😌❤
the anime did a forced shipping due to how the two were popular The HMS frontline leans towards CLs in terms of high rarity units... which is a problem given later game content, which tends to require more of a punch than many CLs can do. They need a high crit skill, multiple barrages/etc. Belfast has none of that and by the time a truly good HE CL gun came along, so were better CL. Her special smoke screen only had use in PvP, and the adjustments made it inferior to normal ones elsewhere. She also suffer from the long-ran HMS Cruiser issue of doing little to boost their torpedoes. It's also glaring that Leander can do more for less and not locked to one gun type. As for burns, CL inflicted ones don't do much but if the rate was higher, it could help prolong BB-inflicted ones. But the HE gun lock was a bit of an issue early on as the only HE CL gun for while wasn't as good in general as the best CL AP Gun. IIRC "Air damage" doesnt come up in PvE. Even Early game Belfast might be a hard arguent due to Leander's existence, but if you want to use her for early-mid game content, then you won't suffer using her. Just ask anyone who had to grind Roon and couldn't get Deu-chan and Spee. So Hawk, looking forward to Repulse META?
Royal Navy's most greatest maid, she's a perfectionist and very honest to herself. For Littles as Bel-chan is increadibly cuteness. Belfast max level 120 and Bel-chan is 110 though on other events and skirmishes.
She's the reason I started playing and I'm very glad I did so Unfortunately not my first oath since I only managed to get her after 4 months of playing and Nürnberg is extremely cute
I remember using a HMS Fleet all the way through chapter 10 with both Belfast and Leander in the vanguard. The fun part was that both ships had Smokescreen skills on different timers, so they'd rarely overlap. It almost felt like Also combining Leander's and Queen Elizibeth's FP buffs theoretically threw Belfast's damage through the roof.
01:13 That is an understatement Hawk, a very BIG understatement. The British Empire built a lot of cruisers and I mean a lot 1. Between 1878 and 1904, the British built 105 Protected Cruisers 2. Between 1875 and 1907, the British built 68 Armoured Cruisers 3. Between 1904 and 1913, the British built 15 Scout Cruisers 4. Between 1910 and 1945 the British built 122 Light Cruisers 5. Between 1916 and 1931 the British built 19 Heavy Cruisers although the small was because of politicians not investing in defence and building 40 County Class instead of the 13 that they did AL has barely scratched the surface of the Empire's cruiser force and that does not count the number of paper designs that the Brits and ones that members of her empire considered or stuff from World of Warships
I am a new marine engineering student and I came not for the waifu factor but because ships are right up my alley and I'm just too compelled by the idea of anthropomorphised ships. Also I think it is quite educational as their skills are based on what the actual ships did. My point of interest is originally oceanliners and came across HMS Olympic Azur Lane rendition [Originally RMS Olympic] when she served in WW1. This was a fanart. And now I'm here. Both ships built at the same shipyard at Harland & Wolff in Belfast [the ship this video is about] obviously named after the city. Same with Formidable and Unicorn from the game. Something I came to know because of Azur Lane. So this game informed me about these ships.
I'm looking forward to the Roon Review, she was one of my first PR ships and is still one of my favorite CAs to use, solid stats, and overall great Yandere waifu.
I'll always use her until world 12. She's the main roster on the "Flamepurger fleet". Her Burn is surprisingly effective. Alongside KGV, Ulrich, Atago, Jean Blart, and Seattle, Belfast still able to stole MVP. And I love her for that. Also waifu over meta.
ngl the lower than average reload is pretty strange considering that in real life she got a bit of notoriety for rapid fire shelling Scharnhorst during the Battle of the North Cape as well as various beaches(including Normandy) with her 6" guns, must've been a balance decision but I find it strange

I never really looked at Belfast nor any HMS maid in that matter beside from Sheffield and that mainly she had a gun and i named her Leon Sheffield Kennedy. Something I think you should have mentioned is her incredibly high Luck. While normally not a major deal at her levels (88) is actually plays a big factor in HP and damage
It's not as heavy of an advantage as one would think. The formulas are pretty brutal to it. It has a bigger impact in hit chance, but crits...oof. to put simply: Hit chance segment: (AttackerLuck - DefenderLuck + Level Difference)/1000 Crit Chance segment: (AttackerLuck - DefenderLuck + Level Difference)/5000 Still nice to have, but unless it's a drastic difference (like 50+) it won't see too much.
@@Hawk2zer0 I mean with 88 luck you could get 50+ difference with some ships. Like you mentioned swiftsure earlier and she has 44 luck on her. Also the fact it adds to evasion rate is a big help In making her tanky-er and upping her eHp. If the average luck is 50, 88 luck is about 3% evasion rate (almost 4) that’s not nothing. I guess my point is any ship with luck 70 or higher or 25 or lower it should be a consideration because those high/low values are extreme enough to be noted
I not sure if its just me that Belfast could fit a "jack of all trades" thing, since she could do a little bit of everything but probably not excel at any specific thing.
How much do I have to pay for Yostar to give her an retrofit? Though to be honest ships with only 1~2 skills needs retrofits before anyone else. Belfast is stilll one the my favorites.
