I lived in Portugal some years back, but I left after a few months due to the racism there. Has it changed? Because you seem so excited when you talk about Portugal.
I really respect you, so I hope you don't mind my question. The English speakers and Portuguese speakers seem to see Portugal differently. The English speakers speak of Portugal as if it were some kind of paradise, but the Portuguese speakers view Portugal the same way I do. So would say that the Portuguese are more accepting of non- white people?
Some Americans are saying that black people are thriving, but I didn't see that when I lived there.

I take no offence to your question dear, yes I believe it has changed slightly. I definitely do understand your sentiments as my close community is one that is of people from all parts of the world... and we all have different experiences in Portugal. Foreigners as myself use the lense from outlook from previous place we have live and compare most Portuguese people who have never left Portugal, hope appreciate what others do and it's the same for natives in their own country's (I definitely have higher appreciate for my home country Namibia🇳🇦, we know the pain of racism all to well). Yes, for most people of colour or black people from America as I have been told by friends and others... It's definitely more different to them. I believe we all have different journeys in this life, so sorry yours was affected by much of racism. I do like Portugal, but it has its pros & cons. Not a perfect country out there, but some are definitely better than others. My favourite is my home country, but I am biased 😅. You are welcome and have a good day!
