Foundry VTT Creating Amazing Visuals: Token Magic and Custom Animations
Вставка

- In this video we take a look at two modules that add in some great visual effects to Foundry. The first is Token Magic. Token Magic can be used to apply effects to tokens, tiles, templates, and drawings. We start off with the basics of these effects, then talk about creating custom presets, and we finish by pairing these effects with DAE and CUB.
The second module is newer, custom token animations allows for some amazing flexibility with animations. We go through the basics of this module, and how we can use it to add auras, orbiting animations, and more. We also talk about how these animations can be integrated through macros and how they are already integrated in the module automated animations.

Hey! Awesome video.
Quick tip: You can add Token Magic FX macros to Token Action HUD in order to have quick access to them. Really useful.
oooo custom token animations is a new one on me thank you Mr Weaver sir. I’ve been trying to get auras through automated animations overrides working that could be what I’m missing. I was still applying the jb2a webm to the measurement template and then using token attacher. Fine for me but my players who haven’t used foundry before i think would struggle. Also the tip about needing to apply some damage is another great help cheers.
The background music... my kingdom for the name of that track
Sure thing! Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/uWugFn4ycj4/v-deo.html I use a number of songs created by them, I picked them up through a Humble Bundle a little while back.
I have it all working now - thank you! Except... :)
I use and ability, and the circling stones occur, but how to I get it to go away automatically after 10 min? (the duration). I have the duration set, but when I move the clock forward it is there until I remove it.
What module added the search bar to your compendiums?
What module enlarges/add labels to your status conditions? Looks very nice.
Yup! Monk's Little Details. I don't use Token HUD scaler, but I'll take a look into that myself too.
HI! I was wondering if there is a way to apply animated effects to specific features and attacks.
For example afer the monk on my party hits with stunning blow i would like to use one of the cartoon animated effects from the Jack Kerouac module, if possible tied to DAE so it'll wear off after 6 seconds or one round.
And thanks again for this videos, they are amazing!
It's possible, you'd likely need a macro. You might want to start with these macros here and adapt - they were designed for JB2A assets but it can be changed by changing the filepath. The Foundry Discord (macro polo) is a good place to look for help too. github.com/otigon/Foundry-Macros
I keep running into an issue that says "CTA is not identified" whenever I try to use the effect as a macro. Any idea whats going wrong?
There were some updates recently. It's hard to know for sure, but I'd try updating and then recreating the effect and the macro.
@@mr.weaver6742 It works! How easy it is to forget to update things when they don't work lol
@@randomnessXinc Ha yeah, it happens to me too. I check in with the Discord pretty frequently to see if there are any updates as well that I need to be aware of.
So sad that Token Magic currently doesn't support the default templates in PF2e :/
I would love to support PF2e templates. This is on my todo list!
Is there a way for me to make all the UI smaller like yours? They are so big in my game that they have taken almost half of the screen
Yup! That's the Minimal UI module. I find it to be pretty helpful especially if you are also using other modules that add in UI elements.
@@mr.weaver6742 Thanks for the recommendation!
