    The Graneledone boreopacifica octopus he talks about is the exception, by a long shot. Most octopuses (yes it's octopuses, not octopi) live 3 to 5 years. Their eggs take between two to ten months to hatch, during which time the mother stays with them, she doesn't even leave them to eat. By the time they hatch, she's just about dead, and dies soon after they swim away.

      Octopuses vs octopi is still being debated. Both are dictionary definition acceptable plurals, yet Octopi is technically wrong as it's latin based, therefore it's old English and not modern English.

    • @violetluna148
      @violetluna148 3 роки тому

      The way I heard the difference between octopuses and octopi is as follows: When speaking of multiple of the same species of octopus, it’s octopi, and when speaking of multiple different species, it’s octopuses. Just random information I picked up somewhere…
      Also, there is another term for them: Octopodes, pronounced Oc-top-ah-dees. Which I think is the coolest sounding of the three…

    Fabergé is pronounced "FAB-er-SHJAY", not "Fab-urdge". Also, epitome is pronounced as "Eh-PIT-uh-mee", NOT "Eh-pi-tohme". As in, "This so-called informational video that mispronounced the most famous jeweled & enameled eggs in the world is the epitome of ironic." I couldn't watch any further, my eyes rolled so hard that I might have detached my retinas, or what you might call my, "REE-tine-ASS". Here's a thought, look up how to correctly say the words with which you're going to fill the video using your fake announcer's voice and unnatural rhythm so that you don't make it quite so obvious that you have no idea what you're talking about.

    Chicken egg color is never determined by feather color. I have white chickens that lay brown and green eggs. I have brown chickens that lay white eggs. Yes, earlobe does give you a hint but not feathers. Leg color can indicate a good egg layer but usually it just varies by breed.

    Emu eggs are beautiful. Green so dark it's almost black. Very hard to break. The inside like white porcelain. I'm surprised some one doesn't do artsy crafty things with them. A friend tried to start an emu farm for the oil, but could never get the rendering right nor could she make the meat edible, oddly for an oil producer the bird is so lean its like leather or jerky.

    g'Day,
    Your horned shark(heterdontus) is not restricted to the west coast coast of the west coast of the U.S. it's pretty much wide spread throughout the temperate Pacific Ocean. On the south east cost of Australia they are known as Port Jackson (Sydney Harbour) sharks, they are each species of the same shark and the egg sacs are so common that nobody even looks at them.
    Emu (eem -you) eggs are totally protected, the indigenous people can take them as traditional food. Who told you they could be sold in supermarkets. As I understand it even farmed emu eggs can't be sold generally and are usually kept on farm.
    There is or perhaps was a chap in St George Queensland who used to carve them with design and sell them to tourists. However last I heard he is no longer allowed to sell them
    Incidentally, eemyou is not an aboriginal word its European. the bird has different names across the 50 or so native dialects the darug people of western Sydney know it as the Marayong

    As noted several times in the comments, I simply can't finish this video because of the feeling that my head may explode from the continuous mispronunciation of Fabergé. Quite frankly, this is not the first time your team has failed to research correct emphasis and/or sound. In this instance it's completely unforgivable because of the acute accent punctuation mark (l'accent aig) clearly present over the final "e." I don't hold you accountable for knowing the name of the punctuation but I do hold you responsible for seeing it and recognizing it has an impact in speech. One more time an blood may have been spurting from my ears! Sacré bleu!🤯
