Volume is instant because it is simply a counter number that is changed in the software. The delay for pause and play is because Spotify has already sent X amount of packets to the receiver that needs to be read. A good amp denies any new packets being accepted when you press play, but that can be bottlenecked by your service or the internet.

For audiophile with only a home theater and plans to get a DAC, streamer, and power amp. Would something like the Acrylic be a better alternative to TV audio via optical ((specifically for music) not connecting AVR to tv at all) or would something like the WIIM pro plus be an improvement over a unit like this which happens to also offer an integrated amplifier.
Are those on ceiling wireless speakers? I recently purchased a 30-years old house and it has built-in speaker system (I am sure they are wired). Can I use Arylic to control the speakers?

Can you use Sonos AMP with the other sonos product (one sl and etc) in sync?
