It took me about 6 months of flying 3 times a week to get rid of my air sickness. I was worried that I wouldn't over come it. So for those of you in that position, listen close:
You need to be well hydrated, and you NEED to eat something substantial with protein before you fly. The weight in your stomach will stop you from feeling air sick from turbulence/maneuvers.

I loved this video. Good humor and realism. I experienced motion sickness only on left bank on my intro flight, nothing on number 2. Motion sickness came back on 3 and had to end early. That was embarrassing for me at first and really took my confidence down to very low levels. Seems to have gone away now. I think hydration and eating properly both play a role for me.

I experienced air sickness too after never having been travel sick in my life... knocked my confidence when I had to cut my fourth lesson short when I suddenly felt nauseous (effects of adverse attitude lesson!) - bought travel sickness wristbands... not sure if placebo or gaining my "air legs" but worked like a charm... stopped wearing them by hour 10 and haven't felt unwell since, despite some turbulent flights! Really glad I stuck with it... Good advice / vid guys.

i felt super nauseated ~8-9 hours into my training. remember to drink electrolytes and always bring a water bottle, especially in the summer months

Thank you so much for posting this video, I had a discovery flight and i got a little bit down because i thought motion sickness is a thing thag will never go away. After talking to the business owner he could not give me tips or really know hod to over come this but you have answered all my questions from the beginning of this video till the end! Maybe the flight school i went was just a bad experience overall! Even w my motion sickness and extreme heat i enjoy the discovery flight wish i took very serious !

I think it’s good to know what helps you feel better when you’re motion sick so you can help passengers experiencing the same thing.

Had my first Discovery Flight today and I felt sick towards the end of the flight. Luckily I did not have to vomit. I was a little discouraged, but this video motivated me to keep pushing forward. Thank you 🙏🏽

First time on a flight, I asked why they had a brown bag there..... after using it 10 times on the flight, I knew why that brown bag was there lol

Can someone who has chronic motion sickness all through his life become a pilot ( in their late twenties) ?

Oh man. I just finished my "reconnaissance" flight in PS28 . Looking forward to getting a CPL one day and was curious if I am even build for this. Well , i puked all over myself and even the bag wasnt enough. It was a hard time but suprisingly it didnt turned me off , it went the other way around . I am certain i can overcome this and it wont be easy , that i know. Would you recommend flying in VR and pushing myself to the limit to try to overcome this ? would it be possible? Thanks in advance !
