As someone who has heard of American myths such as Bigfoot, Mothman, and Jersey Devil. The Yellowstone Dragon is new. 🐉
Same
Same here, I never would've guessed that any native American tribe would have a legend about a dragon. Usually, that's a European thing.
@@tireddoggamingtales2091Actually, dragons exist in myths of almost all cultures.
Dude same here!
All of those are modern cryptids not myths
I think its pronounced "guy - Zer" a "Gee- Zer" is what we call an old person here in the states.
You are correct.
Yes, I was thinking the same like wondering why he was pronouncing it like saying it’s an old man
To be fair there is an abundance of geezers out there too. The geezers came to see the geysers 😅.
What do you expect from an AI voice?
I was wondering if this was an AI voice.
I never heard of such a creature until Today!
Same here!
Me too
Even I didn’t think there was an actual dragon myth in America like the yellow stone dragon.
I’m just as puzzled as you are. This is a first for me. Might be worth looking into. Imagine, America having its own dragon. Now how about that?
That's what's great about folklore, if someone lives there or knows about that place there is probaby a story that explains why it's like it's.
The twist ending to “Yellowstone” the dragon comes alive to do battle with the Dutton ranch 😂
Would be a breath of fresh air for that series.
Those Dino bones did get stolen in the first or 2nd episode and never mentioned again 😅
What is a Dutton ranch?
I didn't know Yellowstone had dragons until now.
Godzilla:Who are you.
Yellow stone dragon: 🐉
It's well known there is a dragon in Yellowstone, it almost attacked Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath!😅
🤣
@@marconeves1979 You got that, didn't you?
Wow, I've never heard of this one before.
I have never heard of this legend before, and I consider myself an expert on dragons. Thank you for sharing and making this video.
I had no idea that Yellowstone had a legend about a dragon. This is rather interesting.
"Hot springs and 'GEEZERS' "?? What?! XD LOL!!!! The text said "geyser", but the VO bot read "geezer" LOL! Oh man that was too funny.
Thank you for enriching my life and dreams with this lore...subbed 😊
interesting, I thought the Beowulf dragon was the first depiction of a fire-breathing dragon ever(in most stories they breath venom)
Really? I never heard of venom-breathing dragons.
@@theprussianviking the Saint George Dragon breathes venom
Fire-breathing dragons are certainly much older than Beowulf. Take a look on ancient Persian stories.
So Yogi and co hadn't noticed this monster until now
How could they over in JELLYstone Park
@@Writh811 They hide this dragon existence and pretending if it never existed
@@prasetyodwikuncorojati2434 I was more so pointing out that Yogi Bear and friends live in JELLYstone park. This dragon is from YELLOWstone park. So Yogi and crew couldn't notice the dragon because they live in different parks.
*Such an awesome video! It kept me engaged from start to finish.*
0:00 Wow! So this is Yellowstone Dragon live in cave.
0:16 Yellowstone Dragon went outside at river. Well that was good.
👍 Good. Very good information story of The Yellowstone Dragon.
Yellowstone has so many myths and cryptids ❤
Thank you for the information in this video
Huh, a dragon myth from North America, that's a rarity, but an interesting one.
Thank you for this video! I have never heard of the Yellowstone dragon before. Me and my family are planning on visiting Yellowstone national park this year.
“Guy-zer”😎👍
❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
The Yellowstone dragon this will be super crazy love it
Smaug after the Hobbit trilogy, moved to North America. 🐉
I never heard of this and I'm from Wyoming where Yellowstone is.
I’ve never heard of it!
Could you do a video on the “ Dragon Bird of Piasa”?
That actually sounds cool.😃🐉
So basically from what I have been able to gather, there is no actual story about a dragon in Yellowstone. The dragon is meant to be a poetic way to refer to places like Dragon's Mouth hot spring. There's no real legend about this
Thanks for actually factchecking this
You talked to every old indigenous folk in the area, so you are absolutely sure there is no such legend? By the way, fire-breathing monsters were quite usual way of explaining volcanic activity and phenomena linked with it in the past.
Can yall do a video on the Cherokee legend of the moon-eyed people?
COOL! Have you ever thought of doing one on the Iroquois' Flying Head mythical monster in Upstate NY?
Yellow Stone Dragon means The Native know its a Massive Active SuperVolcano. It is amazing they know the issue in the first-place despite lacking the technology to explain it scientifically
This would make an amazing fantasy species to encounter in some wilderness
Look, I've aged to become a "Geezer" and while I do, sometimes spit, I've never been confused with a Geyser!!!
I had no idea that supervolcano caldera had mythology surrounding it.
This is interesting and new but I can see how it works for explaining the things that happen in Yellowstone.
0:52 Anyone trying invade his territory? Or EVEADE his territory?
Where is the Dragonborn when we need him
Would like to see the Yellowstone Dragon as a Titan in the MonsterVerse. My guess is that in the MonsterVerse, the cave it lives in is connected to Hollow Earth.
This is definitely a modern invention, but that doesn't make the concept any less cool!
“Did I mention I was the Great Yellowstone Dragon?”
Oh, interesting.
Hey y'all from what I found there are extremely limited "sources" on the cave dragon. I think this is made up.
This seems to be the only video talking about it, and the only other websites who mentioned it were a graphic design site and some travel agencies selling tickets to the Yellowstone "dragon's mouth" geyser.
The Apsáalooke Nation, or "Crow Tribe" mentioned here also did not live in what is now modern day Yellowstone National Park either, their closest territory was further north. The only reputable source I could find on the matter of Crow mythologies regarding Yellowstone was written circa 2000s by one Lee H. Wittlesey as a part of their larger novel, Yellowstone’s Horse-and-Buggy Tour Guides:
Interpreting the Grand Old Parks (published 2007), and mentions various interesting myths regarding the area from a variety of different peoples from the area. None mention a dragon, or dragon-like beast however.
And on a personal note, this particular "myth" doesn't really gel with the tones of established Indigenous myths. There are not many Canadian/American region Indigenous Nations which have strictly "evil" or threatening monsters. Generally Indigenous North American mythology is more nuanced than that. This reeks of Anglo-Germanic or Latin/Greek mythological structures, rather than what one might expect from conventional Indigenous myths. Though this is not strictly my field of study, I do study in the field, and this is not exactly conventional for much of North America.
Interesting if true, but I encourage an academic grain of salt on this one 🧂. Sorry if I ruined your fun.
Edit: spelling.
I can't find anything about this myth either, the only thing close are the fact that several locations in the park are named after dragons, but that's it. I think this channel completely fabricated this "legend"
@@princeblackelf4265 Tempted to agree, friend.
Geyser is pronounced GI (hard G and eye) ser.
So cool that we in the States have our own dragon folklore, thank Native Americans
New to me
North America got some dragons.
Geezers do love their hot springs.
I knew of the dragons cave there- but I was unaware there was literally a native dragon legend that went with it.
I assumed that was a modern slap on name.
I wonder if this is why people go missing in the park.
Sounds like a mob you would find in World of Warcraft.
And obviously I love the native americans ,their history and their cultures ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Native American Mythology really has some interesting creatures. It's amazing how widespread Dragons are in very distant cultures.
The pinical of human interpretation as conger up a lot of beast of legends from what back then was unexplainable at the time so like how fire coming out of the ground was thought to be a big monster that lived under the ground spitting fire.
Fun fact: the dragon is a drake (wingless dragon)
Truth is out there man! Some bear knows somethin!
Guess that explains the hot springs
It comes to the surface occasionally and had fiery red scales? Sounds like lava.
0:05 very interesting, I love the native americans mithology❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is there a way to tell AI that "geyser" is pronounced like "guy-zer"?
Future monsterverse film
I wonder if this creature is related to the Horned Serpent, another Native American mythological creature. Perhaps they're the same species.
Wasn’t there a Native American legend based off some cave drawings that looked like humans throwing spears and what looked like a raptor dinosaur?
There’s a dragon in Yellowstone?
His name is Smaug.
Bet I could find it
Boy sure do love going to yellow stone to watch some geezers
First comment pls like❤
An interesting legend/crypted ive never heard of before. But I couldnt help but focus on him saying geysers wrong several times, pronouncing it like "geezers", as in old guys rather than "Guy-zers" as its supposed to be pronounced.
North America USA has dragon legends
He would make a great candidate for
Monsterverse!
I can imagine Godzilla has to stop him before he destroys the the world with volcanic eruptions and earthquakes!
Would.
“Responsible for Geezers and Hot Springs” well now we know the source of Boomers
Geezers??
I know, right?? LOL!!! I think they meant "geyser", but that got me good, I'm still chuckling.
@@marconeves1979 They really need to hire a human narrator.
@@pendragon2012 All of our videos are professionally narrated (by humans).
And humans make mistakes.
Geezers
Something feels... off, everyone Says this is there first time hearing about it AND the voice is using a AI voice AND they stated that it lives in caves TWICE, but I wasn't to sure so I did a Google search and yes the cryptic does exist but somethings off with the writing....
*IS THIS VIDEO AI GENERATED?!*
I came to exactly the same conclusion you did. Based on what I know of Indigenous mythology and a bit of research, this is absolutely an AI-generated cash grab. Very disappointing to see the sheer volume of hoaxes online these days 🙁
I thought the Yellowstone dragon was Beth Dutton?
Well if he gets too close rip will take him to the train station
An American Dragon that's new
So Yes there are Dragons and Mermaids. in other Different Cultures...✨🐉🐲
Entonces Sí hay Dragones y Sirenas. en otras Culturas Diferentes...✨🐉🐲
That's a dragon still tell it's a dragon even if looks like a drake
Gotta watch out for those old geezers.
Why did the pre-pubescent dragon lose the rap battle?
He couldn't yet spit hot fire.
Guy-zer
What do the native americans call the Yellowstone Dragon?
As far as I'm aware, there is no Yellowstone dragon myth.
To be honest, I simply respect the Native Americans and their legends.
Geezers?
The creatures design here bares too much resemblance to European dragons.
Yet ours were the sufferings he was bearing, ours the sorrows he was carrying, while we thought of him as someone being punished and struck with affliction by God;
Isaiah 53:4
In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God.
John 1:1
How do Native Americans have legends about the same creatures Europeans and Middle Eastern and Asian cultures do before they ever met?
lol geezer.
When you say geezers, you mean old people, right?
Geezer? I think your low effort ai video didn't know how geyser should be pronounced. 😂
Wait...what!? Really! A dragon in California? ...wicked!!!
