- Solo truck camping in my cozy truck cap camper on a rainy day up the Squamish Valley River forestry road in BC. Found a mossy clearing and shacked up for the night with the relaxing sound of rain on the canopy roof.

Meals
Levi's Steak Sandy w/ Grilled Asparagus and Tomatoes
- Cut of steak
- Sliced mushrooms
- Chopped garlic
- Chunk of butter
- Olive oil
- Salt, pepper
- Thick slice of bread
- Bushel of asparagus
- Handful of baby tomatoes'
Fry up sliced mushrooms and garlic in butter and set aside. Coat steak in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Butter bread and grill alongside asparagus and tomatoes. Grill up steak and stack on bread along with mushrooms mixture.

Did this same type of truck camping in the '90s in a Dodge W150. No premade flies were available, so I just used an 8x12 camo poly tarp and a couple of 8' 2x2 for tent poles. Quick to setup and breakdown. Also like the Outdoorsman Ram. I've got the same and its a great package!

It's amazing how little "stuff" one really needs, stuff and space, for basic comfort. I was at a gas station today, and watched a guy with a 40' 5th wheel triple axle trailer manuver to the pumps, before going "camping!"

Great video of truck camping in BC. I've been trying to figure out how to set up a tarp awning for the back of my truck, and this is exactly what I've been wanting! I just ordered one but unfortunately, they don't ship to Canada 😐However, luckily I know of a Canada Customs Bonded Carrier that can bring it across the border for me. Thanks, Levi!

A man after my own heart. Excellent job in outfitting your truck. Thank you for writing all the equipment down. I love it, well thought out, everything with its place and a place for everything, including the cactus. I'm making one. I have a couple of thoughts as an old 1st Lt. in a Fire Dept. in S. Texas. In an emergency can you get to your driver's seat without getting outside of your camper? Also, you could devise the tarp set up to self-disengage completely from your truck without tearing it in a Bear, Wolf or human attack where you have to "Pal Mal It" out of Dodge.

Greetings from oakville Ontario thanks for the presentation and i disagree with some of the comments that camping is alot of work and planning through trial and errors i have a good idea to start the fire take an empty paper towel roll tape the folded end and fill the other end with the lint from the dryer and then fold the end up with tape and use it repeat as many as you can and keep handy along with the kindling

Very beautiful place.
I have a truck and topper and made plans for how I would build it out. I gave up the idea when considering the safety of truck camping. With a van you can slide behind the wheel and get out of Dodge quickly. With a truck, you’re trapped.
