Here in the UK, it’s free for the first three years of purchasing the car, thereafter we have to pay for just the additional features like remote start etc. and it’s only £36 (including VAT) per year…

Just checked and no, they have removed the app from App Store. And they have also disabled it completely which means that the one that is already installed has also stopped working. That’s frustrating and a backward step.

Hi Mauvin. can you help please, I can delete individual journeys individually which is time consuming, is there a way of deleting all at the same time please. I also agree with your comments about jaguar not being clued up on their vehicles, strange for a high end brand ??
Yes there is Alan, all you do is login to the in control remote on a PC and put in the date range and tick the box at the top to select all journeys and hit delete. Also another tricky way to do it is, login on the older version of the app and disable the journey option and re-enable. OLA… They should all disappear. Annoyingly I learnt it the hard way…🙂

Hi, the Jaguar remote app only works with newer cars. What functions you get depends upon if your car is automatic or not etc. Auto cars can be started and warmed up with the remote app whilst it is still locked and secure (some countries don’t allow that). In control app is just an interface to connect the phone to the car with USB. Just got some old crappy apps to use. Pretty useless if you ask me. Remote app is amazing. But like I said it’s functions vary depending on the car type and the country.
I think you need to renew your subscription. Had the same with mine. The new one showed the options but didn’t work, old app never showed any options. Renewed subscription and re did the setting up process and bang, all started to work.
Hi, sorry for the late response (never got a notification for your comment) but yes you can. All you do is just set the temperature you desire and if you set it to low the AC kicks in automatically. If you set it high the heating kicks in. It is the best feature of this app.

Mine was back as soon as I replaced the battery and working ever since... the only thing you can try to see if you could revive it is by going for a long drive or buy a trickle charger and charge it for a day or so. I tried trickle charging mine and that had revived the system for a day and it stopped working the day after...
@@mauvinfernandes so was the battery still good enough to start the car manually but too weak to start remotely, everything on my app works correctly but when I try and start it remotely I can hear clicks under the hood but fails to start every time, I can start it manually no problem though.
No, my remote start function worked fine even with the stop start not working. But your description seems like your battery has gone a bit too low life then mine but just enough to start manually? And it’s beginning winter time. Might be worth just changing anyways…. I have read some old threads about what you just mentioned….

I see the battery lit up red then goes off, car is driven on motorway and gets a good run and still does not work after either.

Hi. Dose anyone have this problem? I'm able to do most of the futures, but the Climate control is not working. The car is asking me to press the brake and obviously i'm not in the car to do it. The car receives the comand but the engine is not starting without me pressing the break.
That’s a bit weird, presuming it’s an automatic? I would delete the car and re-do the setting up process. That might reset the system. Pressing the brake defeats the whole point of being able to pre condition the car….
My car doesn’t have the “all settings “ “features” and “connectivity “ on the menu, it must be my phones WiFi that controls the car through the cars. No SIM card slot either.
These cars have a pre installed SIM card in them somewhere (I’ve never seen mine) specifically for this functionality as well as emergency calling services. But there is also another sim slot in the car too (only for data hotspot functionality). Mine is an XF and the sim slot is in the boot.

I had the exact same issue but after a lot of research I found out that the the remote start system apparently is a subscription service and you need to pay around £36 annually (after the initial 3 year period from the original date of purchase). Same happened to me. Once I paid for the subscription and re-installed the old version of the app, the remote start option appeared back. if you already have a subscription, try un-installing the app and re-installing it.

Oh yes, that is very true. I had read about it. I honestly cannot see the point of that feature being illegal??? So getting your car ready, warmed up and cozy is illegal? I find it disgusting. Just because someone at a round table decided to deem that feature to be illegal just because they were bullied in their school probably. Good luck in finding a way around it.
