It's pretty easy to dismiss Travis being injured as a reason when it was never used as a reason before. It's also quite understandable to chalk it up to corruption/money when you consider that Alabama also managed to weasel its way into the playoffs in 2017, when Alabama didn't even win their division, lost to Auburn (who lost to UGA in the conference game.) Yet they got in over Ohio State, who won their conference game. Wins and losses sure seemed to matter then. If JT being injured was that big a factor, then you would think that they would've put FSU in #5 before the ACC championship instead of literally waiting until the last second. You can repeat the injury or strength of schedule talking points to your heart's content, but they simply don't pass the smell test at the end of the day.
Give it a rest. If FSU was that bad without their QB, why are they at #5 ahead of Georgia and OSU? Why didn't they drop after the UF game? The committee shouldn't have made Florida St. #4 three days ago if they weren't #4. You simply have to look at a map to figure out what the committee was going to do. Three teams in the same area meant only one had to get in to get that area to watch the playoff. It's pretty easy to dismiss Travis being injured as a reason when it was never used as a reason before. It's also quite understandable to chalk it up to corruption/money when you consider that Alabama also managed to weasel its way into the playoffs in 2017, when Alabama didn't even win their division, lost to Auburn (who lost to UGA in the conference game.) Yet they got in over Ohio State, who won their conference game. Wins and losses sure seemed to matter then. If JT being injured was that big a factor, then you would think that they would've put FSU in #5 before the ACC championship instead of literally waiting until the last second. You can repeat the injury or strength of schedule talking points to your heart's content, but they simply don't pass the smell test at the end of the day.
Give it a rest. If FSU was that bad without their QB, why are they at #5 ahead of Georgia and OSU? Why didn't they drop after the UF game?

The committee shouldn't have made Florida St. #4 three days ago if they weren't #4. You simply have to look at a map to figure out what the committee was going to do. Three teams in the same area meant only one had to get in to get that area to watch the playoff. If you take Texas you have to take Alabama, If you take Alabama you have to take Texas, although they conveniently forgot about the past excuses about early losses vs late! The worst thing is the committee doubling down by having Georgia now play FSU in the Orange bowl. The logic that if Georgia wins, which they will be the favorite, it validates leaving FSU out of the final four. Has #5 and #6 ever had to play? Georgia is being used as a blunt object to whack FSU. They should be in as they are clearly a better team than Alabama and would probably beat them 7 or 8 out of 10 times. Whats lost here is The purpose of the playoffs is so it could be decided on the field not by guys in a room yet that's exactly what we got.
