  • In this video I start off replacing the harmonic balancer. After I get it off I realize the front crank seal should be replaced as well. I show how to do it following the factory service manual with the timing chain cover installed. Then I forgot to deal with a bolt behind the balancer, so I take it off again and deal with the bolt before re-installing it. I also show a shop hack for torquing the crank bolt to 80 ft lb.

Yup screws to hold onto and a flathead screwdriver for prying. Works every time

Do I need to remove the timing chain cover? Supposed to do that, right?
