Love Portuguese. I applied Visa in Dublin. The ambassador of Portugal was a friendly gentlemen, he even wrote down the places that worth to visit and gave me the direction. Big big love to this country and people.
If I could only take one last vacation in my life........it would absolutely be Portugal. It is an amazingly beautiful country with so much to see through out your travels. If you're from the U.S. and you want to make hotel reservations on the fly....it is not a problem at all because they all seem to speak English as a second language. The scenery, the food and people are all unbelievable. They are the kindest people of any country. The quality food and wine is so inexpensively delicious and the vistas are so unforgettable. One area I would certainly recommend......is a town called Monsanto. Look it up on youtube and you'll see what I mean. This country has it all! I'm from the U.S. Best wishes on your travels!

I agree. It captured my heart. Needed a nature escape and it surely delivered; went on a hike, Levada walk, all day island tour etc. Whale-watching was canceled because of rough seas. So maybe I will use that as a reason to go back:).
It`s pretty much impossible to choose ONE favorite spot in Portugal. The country, despite it`s size, it`s so diverse. I live in the very center of Porto but once in a while I take a 30-45m drive to go what is probably my favourite spot - Gerês National Park. It`s absolutely gorgeous. To illustrate tht here`s a short story that happened to me: I used to work at a car rental and a couple came to rent a car. They asked what I`d recommend them. I said "go to Gerês, you won`t regret it". They did. They returned a few days later, brought me some gifts and said "this is to thank you for the best time we ever had in a place. We absolutely loved it. The waterfalls, the food, everything. Even though we had a small accident with the car, that didn`t ruined the fun we had". So I asked them "where are you from?" and they said: "we live in French Polynesia but this place tops it. Not that there it isn`t beautiful but it`s just sand and water. You guys here HAVE IT ALL". I never felt more proud about my country.
Also recommend the national park of Gerês (up north) and its full of beautiful waterfalls in which you can swim and it's amazing for hikes and discovering hidden spots with more waterfalls and lakes!

I went to the Azores, Lisbon and Porto back in 2019 and I loved it. If you’re in the Azores, you absolutely must get a hire car and drive to the places on Sao Miguel island. I can also recommend going to Mosteiros after you’ve seen Sete Cidades...loads of people go there to watch the sun setting between the sea stacks, and it’s amazing. There’s also very few tourists there as not many people go.
Were people friendly and welcoming in the Azores? I have been to Lisbon and Sintra before (2 yrs ago) and absolutely loved it. A few weeks ago, I went to Madeira. It was magical; nature, food and people. I had a layover in Sao Miguel so actually got out and went to Sete Cidales. Unfortunately, it was very foggy so I couldn't see the epic views. For the day I was there I found people weren't welcoming. What was your experience with people? I would love to go back and see some of the island of Azores as a layover is maybe not the best way to judge so was hoping my first impression is wrong.
These beautiful scenes brought back font memories. I just came back from Portugal and loved it. I visited Sintra, Lisbon, Fatima, Tomar, and Porto. I already want to go back to see the national tile museum (it was closed on Sunday, May 1st) and go to a Fado performance.

From what I've heard, Portugal is a seriously underrated country - nice weather, nice people and cheap as hell! I will definitely be visiting after this pandemic! :-)
Good wines at surprising prices, exquisite and diverse cuisine from the north to the south of the country, stunning landscapes, a friendly and welcoming people, model hotel facilities throughout the country at fair prices.
Portugal is a little country but is full of history and beautiful places for everywere! I recommend a lot visit Braga, one of the best cities in Portugal! And of course can't forget the Natural Parque of Peneda e Gerês!!
5:06 - Carvoeiro - lovely little place was there last week ;) The beaches all around their are great fun to explore, plus the west coast is only about 50mins drive
As a portuguese, I must say that you totally forgot one of the best, in my opinion, the best zone of Portugal. Its called Alentejo, its in the north of Algarve and its so rural and unique and defenitely has the best landscapes of Protugal and the culture and food ia amazing. You should all visit it!
I'm from Portugal! You should definitely check out all the cost line from Algarve to Lisbon, we call it "Costa Vicentina" It's one of the best summer trips you could have, just beautiful beaches and some awesome beach bars 🥂🌍 Thank you for sharing your experience here
Majestic and Amazing Douro in Portugal is unforgetable. Douro is History and stories of the people who built it over centuries, lacing its schist walls and terraces.

Hallo Ryan! Thank you for your amazing tour showing portuguese people how wonderful out country is and why we must he proud without shame for our history. Allow me to remind some pure gems, also for you to visit such as Évora, Alqueva, Serra da Estrela, Belmonte, Nazaré, Coimbra, Fátima, Aveiro, Braga, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, Caminha, V.N.Cerveira, Monção, Ponte da Barca, Mirandela, Lamego, Cabeceiras de Basto, etc etc. Out country is so small, but I always Stay astonished with its beautiful nature. Hope you come and enjoy it more deeply. Best wishes for you and thank you for sharing with the world the portuguese natural sceneries. Happy 2022 with good health!! 😁
I went to Madeira and Lisbon last summer because it was one of the few places that I could visit in these difficult times. Normally I travel outside Europe, but I didn't regret my decision for one bit. Madeira is really small, but also really nice and it's amazing how much there's to see and to do. It's a really great place if you like hiking. Also Lisbon is surprisingly fun. I didn't expect much, but I really enjoyed my stay over there.
Quinta da Regaleira! I saw this in reality 2 days ago... what a place... like from a dark fairy tale, think "Pan's Labyrinth". I'm not saying I didn't fall in love with Lisbon but Sintra is truly breathtaking.
I really enjoyed this video! 😍 And Portugal is also rich in megalithic monuments, roman ruins, dinosaur footprints, beautiful glittering caves and unusual rock formations, so for the archaeology/paleontology/geology enthusiast it's also a dream land to explore.
I've been living Portugal for 1 year now. Seriously a beautiful place with epic history. My favourite place is by far Madeira, (haven't been to Azores), Sintra, Porto, Algarve are so amazing as well. One of the best things is everything is like a 2 hour drive or plane ride from Lisbon!
If I can suggest my two cents, go further to Braga and around. You can visit the Bom Jesus sanctuary and the Sameiro sanctuary. Tey're both on the same mountain. And the view is prety nice up there. There's also the Gereis National park. There's a lot of little lakes where taking a dive in the hot summer is prety pleasant. And don't forget to laze around the small villages and the center of Braga =)
Hats of to you for trying to say the names in Portuguese, it’s not easy ☺️ by the way, also visit Gerês (it’s a national park with stunning nature and amazing waterfalls), Marvão and Castelo de Vide are located on the interior of the country, Alentejo (both coastline and interior are amazing)... basically visit the whole country because Portugal is unique ☺️
Yes Gerês and Alentejo is something you can’t really miss, maybe not yet very mainstream outside of Portugal, but they will be :) Tróia is also amazing, it is actually my favorite beach in Portugal. Tróia and also Porto Covo beaches I must say ( Alentejo )
Great video! I'm from Lisbon and what I think you missed from my favourite places is Coimbra (the student city) and Guimarães (the country's birthplace). Both beautiful, filled with history and super viby.
Very informative and well researched video. A breath of fresh air from “what’s up guys! I am out with my drone”-type videos. This video has sold me Portugal.

I went to Portugal for a quick visit in 2019. Was my 1st time. Stayed in Lisbon and did a day trip to Sintra. Really loved it; lovely sites, people were friendly, food was delicious, just good vibes. Since then, I have always wanted to go back and see some other parts. Next month I will be doing a solo trip to Madeira. Just need a break to recharge. The Azores looks so serene and unspoiled. Hope to visit someday. How many of the Azores islands have you visited and which one is your favourite?

Aye! Thanks for making this list!
@@RyanShirley It's actually Douro Valley. Great work though
From what I've heard, Portugal is a seriously underrated country - nice weather, nice people and cheap as hell!
I will definitely be visiting after this pandemic! :-)
Amen to that!! Hopefully we can go this summer 🙌🏼
No cheapest is Spain,
It’s not cheap
@@n0rmalna Definitly not, eastern european countries are way way cheaper
Good wines at surprising prices, exquisite and diverse cuisine from the north to the south of the country, stunning landscapes, a friendly and welcoming people, model hotel facilities throughout the country at fair prices.
I love Lisbon ,Porto, and Nazare.
Merci Bcp.
J' aime Portugal.
Merci.

So beautiful! Fantastic nature, architecture and culture in Portugalia♥️Thank for video!
Thanks friend!
The water is beautiful and so much beautiful scenery around.
Dang, sounds like I need to go back and check it out :)
yes like you say Protugal.... where is it? end of the world?
As Spaniard fallen in love with Portugal, I have to say that you are right. Alentejo is incredible but the food is the best of all.
Thank you for sharing your experience , and looking forward to Portugal 🇵🇹!!
I'm from Portugal! You should definitely check out all the cost line from Algarve to Lisbon, we call it "Costa Vicentina"
It's one of the best summer trips you could have, just beautiful beaches and some awesome beach bars 🥂🌍
Thank you for sharing your experience here
I'm jealous you live there! What part of Portugal are you from?
Majestic and Amazing Douro in Portugal is unforgetable.
Douro is History and stories of the people who built it over centuries, lacing its schist walls and terraces.
Douro is amazing!
Great video and let me tell you that after seeing this I feel so lucky 🍀 to actually live in this beautiful country and in the Algarve region to be precise!🙋🏻♀️
Amazing video, thanks for that!! I would suggest some more amazing places to the people reading this:
- Monsaraz
- Marvão
- Monsanto (Idanha a nova)
- Cascais
- Aveiro

Love for Portugal. From Pakistan country
Just came back from Portugal and it’s so hard to pick the best spot I was in but I definitely loved Sintra, it was straight from a story book😍🤩
Sintra really is amazing!
Sintra is from another world !
Looks mesmerising, Ryan. All your videos are amazing 😍
Thanks Bruno! Hope all is well in Scotland!
Another place I need to check off!
Thanks Joy! Hope you can visit there this summer!
That's so cool you live in Portugal! I hope to be back this summer!

Great video. But also Guimaraes, Braga, Peneda Gerez, Evora, Elvas, Marvao, ...I could go on for hours.
Love Portugal ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hats of to you for trying to say the names in Portuguese, it’s not easy ☺️ by the way, also visit Gerês (it’s a national park with stunning nature and amazing waterfalls), Marvão and Castelo de Vide are located on the interior of the country, Alentejo (both coastline and interior are amazing)... basically visit the whole country because Portugal is unique ☺️
Thanks so much friend! Great suggestions, I'll have to visit when I return! Are you from Portugal?
@@RyanShirley yes I am. If you need any tips just say it, I’ll be glad to help ☺️

I love it all! Algarve, Porto faves.
Amazing places 🇵🇹
Great video! I'm from Lisbon and what I think you missed from my favourite places is Coimbra (the student city) and Guimarães (the country's birthplace).
Both beautiful, filled with history and super viby.
Love Portugal, from your neighbor
Very informative and well researched video. A breath of fresh air from “what’s up guys! I am out with my drone”-type videos. This video has sold me Portugal.
Thanks mate! Hopefully we can visit Portugal this summer, such a wonderful and diverse country!
I loved this video. Thanks for sharing. I study in Portugal. I love here and people.
Portekiz’i yıllardır merak ediyorduk . Lizbon , Sintra. Porto da 5 gün geçirdik. Portekiz’i ve insanını çok sevdik. Videonuz ve yorumlardaki yeni yer önerileri için tekrar döneceğiz . İstanbul dan Portekiz’e selamlar
I am Portuguese. So, love almost everything. Lol. Thank you.
Hi?
Love to visit this gorgeous country soon ❤
Can't wait for you to go!
Incredible footage! One of the most beautiful countries in Europe.
I couldn’t agree more! Where is your favorite place in Portugal?
Wow... amazing images of my own Country.. (gives me me Saudades (sort of homesick but more melancholic) ..this is because although I am from Lisbon I live in Berlin since a very long time)... But hey, because of this sort of videos from Portugal, I also get a sort of pride to be from there! Thanks for that :)
Nothing like some Saudades! I hope you can come back soon! You're from such a great place :)
Portugal is a beautiful country, very nice to see this video.
Thanks so much friend! What part of Portugal is your favorite?
@@RyanShirley I have not seen the Portugal, I could enjoy the video of entire Portugal.
I would love to visit. I love the culture ❤️

So beautiful 🔥
Coimbra, Villa Nova de Mil Fontes, The National Park of Gerês, Braga, Serra da Estrela are also so beautiful
Ninguém falou da maior jóia: Guimarães !
Azores is a pearl in the Atlantic, in S. Miguel visit Lagoa do Fogo early in the morning to watch the magic of nature.
sao miguel is def the best island. if you like nature, you'll be mindblown the whole time. just make sure you hire a car.
Thanks for the advice! Such a beautiful place.
Of course!
Amazing video and tour of Portugal! I want to go there, can't right now, and your video is the next best thing.
Aye! Hopefully things clear up and we can visit this summer! 🤞🏻
