For me, my favourite Red Enchantment is [Smoke]. (R)(R): Enchantment, "Players can't untap more than one creature during their untap steps." I absolutely adore this deck in Voltron style decks, It's my golden pig in my Valduk deck. What a fantastic hidden gem, I try and include it in every deck I can fit it in!
i guess Im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I love any help you can offer me
mycosynth lattice is the card you are talking about and that would be hilarious you could also just equip all your lands and in valduk that would be a alot of 3/1s
@@RecklessFables Bludgeon Brawl. It says "All non-creature artifacts you control are equipment artifacts with 'Equip X: Equipped creature gets +X/+0' Where X is this artifact's converted mana cost." So, Mycosynth Lattice + Bludgeon Brawl = Equip creatures with planeswalkers, lands and enchantments and hit people in the face.
@ManaJack I run an Extra Combats Ilharg deck, extremely fun spamming ETB effects like Mindclaw Shaman to steal instants/sorceries, Fanatic of Mogis to deal mass player damage and the odd Hellkite Tyrant to deal combat damage to the Artifact focused deck across the table.
@ManaJack to me, torbran is a fun commander to face. He himself changes the aspect of the game, setting a timer for how long you have to win against it, while keeping in mind your other opponents
The "underrated" card videos are usually my favorite. Discovering weird cards and having that little light pop on ("that would go great in x..." or "wow, that is exactly what I needed for y...") is precisely why I love magic, and more specifically commander.
You’re channel has made commander fun again. We’ve all played super tuned expensive decks since the beginning. Knowing exactly how my deck is going to play every.single.game. It gets boring. Playing your decks(I built your version of kess) it’s like I’m playing a new deck every game...keeps it fun and refreshing and super fun! Well done mate! Love the channel love the content! Keep it coming!
I think chaosphere might be a hidden gem that’s needed in Krenko, it helps mitigate the disadvantage to not having any flyers since all u have us goblins and it makes ur goblins unblockable
I may have to add it to my Krenko deck. You know what is really fun in a Krenko deck? Moggcatcher and Boggart Shenanigans. Have Moggcatcher in play and respond to a board wipe by fetching up Shenanigans. Player that wiped dies instantly.
Love it on Syr Gwyn. She is an expensive commander in a colour combination that doesnt have good ramp, so you will be using a lot of mana rocks. And then you can just attach all those rocks on her or in other knights for free and smack face and draw cards. And yes, puresteel paladin is also in the deck
Also a really fun one in white: Aurification. 2WW- if a creature damages you, put a gold counter on it. Creatures with gold counters become Walls with defender. It’s a neat way to get someone to attack somebody else instead of you, and one of those cards that has the whole table go ‘what the hell is that’
Mitch i love watching your stuff ive been watching since you made the super budget shu yun deck. like i could be having a horrible day then see a little reminder saying you posted a video and it make my day immediately giving me something to look forward to watching even if its something short. thank you for posting so much
I use a card in my torbran deck called close quarters. 2RR Whenever a creature you control becomes blocked, close quarters deals 1 damage to any target. Torbran boosts that to 3, and many of my creatures deal damage when blocked, so I can either attack unblocked, or you block and I kill half your field. Nothing smaller than a 1/4 even gets the chance to do damage.
I had two favorite red enchantment combos: "Repercussion" might be my all-time favorite red enchantment, it doubles the power of burn spells and messes up blocking. I built a deck that ran it with "Aether Shock," plus creatures like "Varchild's War Riders" and "Hunted Dragon." Another favorite red enchantment was "Onslaught." I'd run it with "Smoke" and the Viashino creature cards that would bounce back to your hand every round. This combo would go well with newer decks that revolve around Purphoros and "Impact Tremors."
I know I'm super late to this video but figured I'd share anyways. I'm a big fan of the Enchantment War's Toll. While it's on the field, when players tap land for mana it forces them to tap all lands they control. They can tap all of their mana at once in response so they don't technically lose mana but it does force them to exhaust their resources fairly quick. It also says that whenever a player attacks, they have to attack with all their available creatures. This is a really good enchantment that forces all of your opponents to go all in or do nothing and save it. There are ways around it like mana producing artifacts and vigilance. But it's just nasty for any opponent. It's an auto include for me any time I have a deck with red in it.
Repercussion is a pet card of mine. I use it as a wincon with Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction in my Mogis deck. Jank as hell but amazing when it happens. Plus it makes blocking very weird. I think Mana Cache was my favorite from this set. I need to pick a copy up since my group has decided they like counterspells again.
Tide of War is one of my favorite janky red enchantments. Makes combat completely insane. Swinging with Blightsteel Colossus? Ok, I'll chump with my 0/1 goat! Oops, your Colossus gets sacrificed instead! Goat is the WINNAR!!
Hey! It's my deck! I used Starke of Rath as a commander. Nearly everything in it is designed to be irreparably annoying. Like, an Anti-Group hug. Best card in it, though? Soldier of Fortune. "Be nice to me, or I make you shuffle again."
There’s another monored combat enchantment that fits this theme really well. Tide of War. 4RR: Whenever 1+ creature blocks, you flip a coin. Win the flip, all blockers are sacced. Lose it, all attackers are sacced. The wording says whenever any creature blocks, so this affects the entire board. Makes everything potentially have deathtouch but better. Completely screws with combat harder than Chaossphere imo
My two favorite underrated red enchantments, that don't get enough love: War Cadence 2R Enchantment XR: This turn, creatures can't block unless their controller pays X for each blocking creature he or she controls. And Magistrate's Veto 2R Enchantment White and Blue creatures can't block.
I added Task Mage Assembly to a big-mana/few-creatures deck to help me deal with creatures. The net result was my opponents policed the board for me. It was wonderful to see a “crap” rate from Prophecy finally get its day in fame/infamy.
I have a Valduk Keeper of the Flame Commander, and I have no clue how I didn't know about bludgeon brawl. Thank you for making my deck even more annoying for my friends too deal with!
Figure Mana Cache was even more punishing when it was released bc players had to choose between giving ramp to their opponent vs receiving that much damage in mana burn. The only winning move is not to play.
Raging river is basically a jankier version of stand or fall, plus you can use special props and actually put a river in the middle of everyone’s borard! Could be stupidly fun
Bludgeon Brawl is actually kind of busted in a mana rocks deck. You start with ones that can tap to equip themselves to a commander for cheap (sol ring which leaves you with one extra mana) then can keep boosting up to bigger mana rocks and you can still tap them even after equipping them so you can just keep piling on mana rocks to a creature to swing big. I think I'm going to have fun making a deck with this card
while not budget friendly Raging River is one of my favorite red enchantments in my mono red warriors list. It gets even better when combined with Gravity Sphere.
I play Guild Feud in my Olivia Voldaren EDH deck because it's up to 2 free creatures, no including any potential recursion effects. Vampires have enough beefy creatures to pick fights and survive, with little downside to their deaths because I can either revive/steal creature anyone's creature thanks to the overwhelming black abilities.
Although a newer card, and more janky in terms of deckbuilding than for how it affects the board, Unpredictable Cyclone is fun to build around with Sorceries that have Cycling to try to hit the bigger Sorcery spells in the history of magic
Mana Cache is soooo fun looking! Have you ever used Possibility Storm in an edh deck? I use it in my Grenzo, Dungeon Warden deck because Grenzo's ability does not count as casting a spell. Its a great way to shut out decks and give yourself a huge advantage.
My pick: Æther Flash. 2RR: when a creature comes into play, it deals 2 damage to that creature. I play it in my Atla Palani deck, so I can sort of tap her to instantly get the egg killed and trigger her. The only creature in the deck with 2 toughness or less Is Mirror Entity, so for me it’s huge value and it kills all my opponents mana dorks/utility creatures.
Yes I love Chaosphere. I have it in my Krenko deck. It is reserved list though. Oh snap killing it! I also have Glacial Crevasses in that same deck. It is also reserved list though.
Ashling's prehogative doesn't fit an Obosh companion's deck, keep it in mind. And i'm realy glad to see two of my fav "underrated" cards here, Guild Feud and Blungeoning Brawl aways bright on Daretti and Random caothic decks o' mine.
confusion in the ranks is so much fun! It sees itself so it gives you value the turn it hits the field plus its a global effect so who controls it doesn't even matter
i still want to hear mitch talk about Curse of Marit Lage. anyone playing blue has all of their islands permanently tapped. if they dont have enough alternate mana sources, they might just be shut out of casting anything costing blue mana. and if you build around it correctly, stormtide leviathan's effect causes ALL lands to be permanently tapped. this includes your own lands, but you accounted for that.
Mana Chace looks so spicy. I'm always looking for ways to prevent my oppoents from stopping my janky red deck plans. Heat stroke is a personal fav for janky red enchantments, I used to run it in a Kazuul EDH and it was fuego. Also a big fan of smoke in a red deck that just wants to burn everything.
As a politics player, Mana Cache always ends with one player taking most of it, and then becoming the enemy. It's a pretty great risk/reward card in a 4 player game.
Valduk, Keeper of Flame + Mycosynth Lattice + Bludgeon Brawl = equipping all of your lands for 0 and making them all mana viable and making A LOT of 3/1's w/ trample. Can tech in things like vandalblast to really shake it up ;^)
Glacial Crevasses would be so good in a RG lands matter deck--Angry Omnath or Mina and Denn even. I think I have one....Just no Snow Mountains. :( I play a Naya (vs Selesnya) enchantress deck specifically for Sunbird's Invocation. The deck has been declared broken by my much more competitive friend. Sunbird's is nuts.
Ashling's Prerogative would go well in an Obosh, the Preypiercer deck. Name odd and all your relevant creatures have haste while around half of your opponents creatures enter tapped.
I'm just upset that Planar Chaos wasn't mentioned, I don't know if it's janky, but I love the, "I guess I just have to take a chance to see if this even casts" aspect of it. goofy card, fun to cast

Well searching through scryfall for hours at a time wouldnt help
i guess Im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?

@Mauricio Marvin instablaster =)
Bludgeon Brawl + that artifact that makes everything an artifact
Have Gideon equip Jace and swing at people
mycosynth lattice is the card you are talking about and that would be hilarious you could also just equip all your lands and in valduk that would be a alot of 3/1s
There are some creatures which get pumped for each equipment on them. Load them up with treasures and start hitting people with your moneybag
I played Saheeli superfriends to do that
Maybe I'm missing an interaction here but how does making something an artifact also make it equippable?
@@RecklessFables Bludgeon Brawl. It says "All non-creature artifacts you control are equipment artifacts with 'Equip X: Equipped creature gets +X/+0' Where X is this artifact's converted mana cost."

Monored as a whole is so underrated. Such a fun colour to build!

there's a wealth of expressions based around money, just from the way society is

Yeah, he just makes cents!
Boo!

Xantcha was the commander that immediately popped into my head with some of these "any player may" abilities.

I have run Chaosphere in my Krenko deck for years. I will never take it out, it does work every time I play it. Also, I love the artwork.

Quest for the janklord!

Mana Cache was a much more useful card when mana burn was still a thing.
Perhaps the worst mistake MaRo ever made was pushing for Mana Burn to be axed.
Killing it with the uploads lately homie!
I think you just summarized my favorite things in Magic in a way I could never really describe before XD

Invasion plans is by far my favorite red enchantment. Being able to choose my opponents blocks is always fun.
With Bludgeon Brawl,
I just love the idea of strapping a Great Furnace to something (even tho its +0/+0 since its a land)
Grip of chaos: anything that goes on the stack and targets, targets at random. Watch insanity ensue.
Planar chaos is my favorite janky red enchantment. Pairs great with Krark's thumb as well!

13:07 so transform your mana rocks into mana hammers XD
I am happy you have found a place to use the phrase penny for your thoughts. I have wanted this for so long.
"Stand or Fall" is essentially a "fixed" version of "Raging River."
I like how they slipped that into the "or" cycle of cards.
Enchantment wise grip of chaos, confusion in the ranks, possibility storm, wild evocation, and grand melee come to mind.

Janky can be fun, so I’m glad to learn about some new ones here. Time to “casually“ annoy my pod.
Jank and Red. My favorite combo.
My favorites: Antagonism, Grand Melee, Grip of Chaos (I know chaos but its funny to watch people try to work around it), Risky Move.
I played Chaosphere a ton back in the day because I played with a ton of flyers.
Bludgeon Brawl + Mycosynth Lattice + Vulshok Battlemaster is comedy gold.
I play Guild Feud in my Olivia Voldaren EDH deck because it's up to 2 free creatures, no including any potential recursion effects.

bludgeon brawl+mycosynth lattice+something that pumps for each equipment attached. Lands are free power.

Heat Stroke is one for the list. Lots of fun!
Im about to add Bludgeon Brawl to my MonoRed Valduk deck !! Sounds really fun to make mana rocks equipment. Thanks mitch !
I have a Boros deck that’s built around squeezing in as many combat steps as I can. Stand or Fall would be great in that I think!
Elsha, mana rock tribal, Bludgeon Brawl / March of the Machines, Open the Vaults for backup.
I really like uphill battle, its like the ashling enchantment but it simply says creatures your opponents control enter tapped.
I have Stand or Fall and Taskmage Assembly. You've inspired me to find a home for them!
OOOOH, My Ilharg deck really likes guild feud
Same, it is a perfect combo
Mana Chace looks so spicy. I'm always looking for ways to prevent my oppoents from stopping my janky red deck plans. Heat stroke is a personal fav for janky red enchantments, I used to run it in a Kazuul EDH and it was fuego. Also a big fan of smoke in a red deck that just wants to burn everything.
Ashling's Prerogative has fone work for me in my Krenko deck. So mean, so fun
Task Mage Assembly is awesome in a Torbran deck; lets your opponents bolt each other's creatures but only ping yours :)
As a politics player, Mana Cache always ends with one player taking most of it, and then becoming the enemy. It's a pretty great risk/reward card in a 4 player game.
Love Bludgeon Brawl on my Syr Gwyn deck. Use the signets, thran dynamo and etc to ramp and then equip gwyn with them to smack face.
Equip mindcrank onto Syr Konrad, for maximum flavor
It's funny to imagine Squee, the Immortal using Nicol-Bolas as a weapon. 🤣
Pro tip: Run Stand or Fall along with Raging River
Valduk, Keeper of Flame + Mycosynth Lattice + Bludgeon Brawl = equipping all of your lands for 0 and making them all mana viable and making A LOT of 3/1's w/ trample. Can tech in things like vandalblast to really shake it up ;^)
I love the flavor for Bludgeon Brawl; creatures are just like, "fuck it" and start smacking each other with Sol Rings and Signets.
Bludgeon Brawl and artifact stealing is hilarious together.
Repercussion was a red enchantment I always loved; not super jank, but fun! Shame the price spiked up out of nowhere...
Mass hysteria
R
Enchantment
All creatures have haste
Mirrorden
~$4.50
Even though it's mono black, I absolutely LOVE Death Match, any deck that can swarm can destroy creatures ignoring things like indestructible
Red enchantments from my Zedruu Chaos deck:
Wild Evocation
Risky Move
Possibility Storm
Confusion in the Ranks
Heat Stroke 2R Enchantment- At end of combat destroy all creatures that blocked or became blocked. Great with kobold/goat tokens
Liquimetal Coating + Bludgeon Brawl lets you hit someone with a Nicol Bolas wielding a Nicol Bolas
Guild Feud sounds awesome! I might put that in my Saskia deck.
Brand of Ill Omen is a neat one, janky because its a type of control not seen in red
Inspired me to make a monored control deck
Stand or fall certainly goes in my Pramikon deck
Rite of the Lightning Racer, fun card in multiplayer formats.
A Random Janky and Awesome BLUE Enchantment: Cowardice aka "the voltron deck can never assemble"
Bludgeon Brawl looks hilarious
Glacial Crevasses would be so good in a RG lands matter deck--Angry Omnath or Mina and Denn even. I think I have one....Just no Snow Mountains. :(
I play a Naya (vs Selesnya) enchantress deck specifically for Sunbird's Invocation. The deck has been declared broken by my much more competitive friend. Sunbird's is nuts.
Ashling's Prerogative would go well in an Obosh, the Preypiercer deck. Name odd and all your relevant creatures have haste while around half of your opponents creatures enter tapped.
I have a rakdos deck that I just tried to make as chaotic as possible and I think I might have to add a couple of these
I'm just upset that Planar Chaos wasn't mentioned,
I don't know if it's janky, but I love the, "I guess I just have to take a chance to see if this even casts" aspect of it.
goofy card, fun to cast
Possibility Storm...I think you've mentioned it before but I think it belongs on the list
Guild Feud is gonna be so sweet in my Vaevictis deck
Bludgeon Brawl is extremely exciting with Vulshok Battlemaster! Swing with everyone's artifacts! Hope nobody has a Corrosive Ooze!
Task Mage Assembly would be really fun in my Torbran deck!
