Thank you for filming and uploading this. I have got myself a 2008 3 days ago and it is really handy to see how things are before I start on my own service. Going to change oil, oil filter, spark plugs (NGK Iridium), coolant (Watched your video on that), then off course the air filter. Again thanks!
Your videos make me happy. I have a manual but you show me how easy it is. Completed this task myself yesterday, after watching this. Next step...coolant and oh.. you have a video for that too!
Thanks for the video! It's very helpful. Do you think is there any way to clean up dirty air filter instead of buying new one? Could you feel any performance improvement after the replacement?
SkinZ If it's not too dirty you can use compressed air to blow the dirt through from the outside of the filter. However mine was beyond that point. And yes at the top of the rev range it does feel more powerful.
I forgot to ask. I noticed dirty water in the air filter compartment. any idea what thats about? I should say I just cleaned it... maybe its from the wash and a good ride will get rid of it.
Oil and water vapour from the engine crankcase is vented into the air box and then most gets sucked into the engine and burnt. A residue at the bottom is normal. There is usually a little transparent bit of tube at the lowest point of the air box to collect it. You can pull it off clean it out and put it back on.
hello, thank you for your tutorial, i have the same bike, and i wana know did you put some oil on the air filter ? or you just put the air filter directly witout oiling it ? thank u, and sorry for my bad english.
USHighSpeed Pursuits The filter I used was an original filter replacement (paper type). If you use a k&n filter (usually red) you would need to oil it.
Tim Vine Hey thanks very much! Yes I do own the one in the the video. Its a great bike, but if you can try to get one from 2007 onwards as from that year they have the engine from the cb600rr and make 100hp.
***** Thanks for the reply man. Yea I will be getting one from 07 onwards, the reason I ask you is there isn't a lot of information online about them just release reviews. You should do a review video!
@@risc19 Opened it up yesterday and after 3 years it looked like new. At first I opened the wrong side, wondered why the air filter wouldn't come out. lol
