I don't know but they're the only people I love this about.. other people's music/songs i don't care about the background but these two!? They have me in a chokehold 😅😅
Most of the Grammy albums background stories are when the label doesn’t tell the artist what to do and leave em do whatever they want with open budget This is how creativity works
No they definitely have a record label telling them what to do. They've been signed to the biggest record label in the world since the start of their careers.
The fact that she refers to her work as "our", "our previous album". So heartwarming. She has most of the fame, she's the name, I'm sure she's potentially the signature to all major projects, she's the face. However, she easily acknowledges that her work is as much of Phineas' as it's hers. That's a beautiful brother-sister relationship, if u ask me.
Two birds of a feather explaining two birds of a feather. Such a dynamic duo that can also both be individually identifiable and successful without each other but work so well together that it should be forever just as much as it can and will be separate together.
I am officially a fan wow. This is a very brilliant move. No sharing personal life, showing off, or giving random life advice. Nothing other than just focusing on the work of art that the two of them put so much effort into. They created beautiful songs, and now they are showing us the process, the little special details, all the interesting things. Not only does this give the fans a deeper look into the songs they love, but it also promotes the album, as well as shows how dedicated they are to their craft. Everybody is satisfied. I love Billie now more than ever, please do more videos breaking down your wonderful music, lyrics, and MV.
i can’t believe either of them would ever debate NOT putting one of the songs out. everything they create together is absolutely life changing for millions of people.
As a visual artist, I see this as a masterclass in songwriting. It's like the calculus of singer/songwriting. What may take seven weeks to nail a word, phrase, or note, Billie and Finneas make it sound so effortless.
I love seeing them break down their song part by part and telling us the story behind it. They’re so adorable together, smiling at their little masterpiece
They do the work. Every sound matters. Ever word is important to the whole and they take the time and effort to get them right. It’s why the results are so good.
“Say you wanna quit, don’t be stupid” hits HARD, definitely one of my favorite lines. I can’t explain it, but it just makes sense in some way. Absolutely an amazing song🔥
I know these 2 have won all kinds of accolades and awards, but something in me says they have still another level coming. I see more and more of their new fans being non traditional. Born in all different decades, from multiple music genres and backgrounds digging their sound. Birds of A Feather made a lot of people take notice. And once people dive into the whole discography, you are hooked. Bravo Billie and Finneas. 👏👏👏
I love it when they go technical, learning the thought process and planning, just everything that goes from behind the scenes, I didn't know they sampled Getting Older with that that's amazingly genius‼️💕
i’m so glad this song made it on the album, i’m absolutely obsessed with it and it’s definitely one of my favorite songs, i swear it always comes on when im with the people i love and it truly has something special in it, i take it as a sign every time is plays💙
I really love watching how they flow when they discuss the process of working together.. You can just see how natural it is. How they move about the space, sitting on the floor, climbing up to reach, playing notes on the keyboard… idk. It’s warm & comforting to witness.
They are musicians, creators, and most importantly, and perhaps they don't know it because they are still very young, they are giving back to the world all the power of love and romance, for which music emerged as creation and elevation of the soul. In addition to demonstrating the real values of a good family. Thank you guys, for someone like me, a 64 year old woman, who LOVES music and respect and love for the family, listening to them gives me hope that the best of humanity will be preserved.
Such sweet sentiments! I agree. I love their music more because of how authentic and respectful they are. I tend to judge music based on whether I like the artists as well as the music itself.
I know Billie prefers that we interpret her songs our own way, but I didn't really understand the second verse on my own. Hearing her explain it unlocked a whole new appreciation of this song for me because I get it now. Knowing how much thought they put into everything is so wonderful. I was tearing up because I think it's so beautiful.
This album has been on repeat for MONTHS. I’m still not tired of it. It’s been the soundtrack to my life which has gone through a major shift. This song specifically hits deep
This a masterclass for the making of a masterpiece. A lot of people don’t realise how much work there is behind the songwriting. The chemistry between them is so inspiring and so right!
The way Billie sings those notes scratches my brain, so clean and exact, her singing is so crispy here. Once again Finneas proves us he is one of the best in his category. Two of my fav people on Earth 🫂
I'm always amazed by Billie's vision when it comes to detail, even the smallest aspects of a song. Such an amazing talent and amazing brain, she's truly the most interesting artist of her generation
It’s amazing how they take us through the process of composition of a song. This duo is a FORCE. Most artists nowadays just entertain. Real music is rare! Thank you for your talent and gift and for sharing it with us.

I really love how they explain the lead up to 'love you til the day that i die'. I think their desire to make that phrase sound earnest and not shallow was very thoughtful, we really throw these words around so much. But the line before that really communicates a sense of 'maybe I'm being arrogant or presumptuous or naive to say I will love someone forever or even til our hair is grey, but I can't help it and there's no other way to put it. I'll love you til the day that I die.' it looks the cliche and naivety that the phrase has become as says it anyway. The way her voice crescendos shamelessly as well like; go ahead call me cliched or naive or arrogant but I believe it's true- I'll love you til the day that i die. Not everyone will live and experience that feeling uninterrupted love for one person but i feel in my heart that I'm feeling it right now and I believe with everything in me that it will never stop for you.
I just can't even. They are geniuses and I don't think they know the emotion they bring out of people. At least me. They have sparked my joy in music, my TRUE joy again. I love how they share their process, it used to be all about... different things in the industry and to just be YOURSELF is so inspiring
This song has such a special place in my heart, it is absolutely beautiful. I love that she pointed out from the start that "it's up to listener to decide". I can't help but think of my daughters whenever I hear this song.

The instrumental outro feels like two different timelines but a concluding one. One ends with two graves that sit next to each other as the sunsets behind a hill and the other is two people sitting on a hill as they watch the sunset
Ok, but can we talk about Billie's jazzy 'might not be long' Like-- what lengths I would go hear to a Jazz album from Billie. Better yet a jazz-ified cover of her own songs
When they did the harmonies at 9:00… I thought for your wouldn’t it be great if they played the harmonies first and then bring the beat in!!!!! They are so amazing and talented!!! Love them!!

When you hear the song backstory and their challenges making it then Finneas says thank God it's popular, this is maybe why they smile at each other appreciative of each other, when collecting the awards. Musical maestros these two are.
I wish they did that for every song in the album. I love when they talk about the making of a song.
So few artists do that right? It's so thoughtful for fans!

You are butchering everything you say. And it's not phineas for haven's sake😂
Maybe because IT IS their work and THEIR album. They create THEIR songs TOGETHER
I was going to say that. That’s so wholesome tbh
Love billie im sure she writes too but listening to Finneas, ya damn right she’s gon say ‘ours’
“We literally thought it would be a flop album” literally my favorite album of the last 10 years
finneas is so good at mixing her voice and she does an awesome job understanding where each voices should go.. I just LOVE them
