When it comes to the Paranormal and Supernatural, everyone wants proof. And yet, not everyone can seem to agree on what would constitute this proof. So what about evidence that might lead to proving the existence of a spirit world? Well, not everyone can seem to agree on what is considered actual evidence either. Since the invention of technologies like photography, and audio & video recording, there have been many purported instances of these recording capabilities capturing occurrences of a spectral world interacting with our own. For many, this is still not enough. We certainly didn't expect to get any evidence ourselves when we visited the Sallie House on July 20, 2018. But now that we've captured something that at least could be considered anomalous with our audio recorder, we want to know exactly what it is and how it got there. While we may never get a definitive answer as to what that sound is we captured, what we know is how hearing it made us feel. We've also received a wide range of responses from listeners who have told us how hearing it themselves has affected them. Some have perceived within the audio file a sense of rage, frustration, and sadness, and some merely regard it as random static. Those perceptions have spurred their own emotional responses, ranging from fear and queasiness to even anger because some listeners can't accept it as anything but noise. In some ways, it doesn't matter to us what that audio may be or if there are no words in it because a message was felt, loud and clear.

When you first played file 8, it sounded like something was talking before you started asking questions. If you care to go back to this after so long, the time stamp is around 0908. When you said the answer sounded like "I ain't alive" I am convinced I heard "I ain't playing" which would fit right in to your file 10 with the very angry spirits you had coming through.
I know I am a year late to this but I am now invested, not only in the sallie house but everything you have done. On I go listening to what you did he t.

They're known as familiars thats why most of the time people get different and specific things like dead family members or perfect imitation of their voices familiar spirits they know you they know what scares you they know how to get emotion from you its all in the book
The file around 23 minutes is scarier to me than the one with the constant screaming because it stops while you’re talking but then starts back up as soon as you stop talking. It’s hair raising.
Btw, I don’t know if this makes any difference but “primo” is a male cousin in Spanish.
@35:58 I hear something like "I'm so sick?.... Go get the doctor." The first part is so hard to discern but the second half "Go get the doctor" sounds quite clear. I wanted to put this down here first before I hear you say what you think it says. Edited to add I have perfect pitch & abnormal hearing (can easily hear well outside of normal hearing) My Dr. thought his two hearing tone machines were broken! 🤣 Even after you said "what's he got there?" I can't hear that. The syllabatry I'm hearing doesn't match the phrase. I still hear "I'm so sick... go get the doctor." I'd think with all the investigators and the entity's intelligence, it'd know for sure what a voice recorder & cam look like. Also it's screaming in anguish & torment. What if it died a horrific death of illness? It would be screaming and begging you to end its eternal torment. I've helped other teams with seemingly indecipherable audio. Including a clip of a young child introducing herself by name as Hælgrana Sweeney.

I went through all the other comments expecting a common observation of file 10 to be a dog barking over people trying to talk in a room. I wonder if more calm spirits were trying to speak as a more aggressive dominant one drowns them out.
No one else has mentioned a dog barking. Interesting you heard that. I don't listen to File 10 anymore, so I can't weigh in on it, but it's a fascinating observation. - Scott
When I first heard about the lit candles being lit by ghosts in the house, I suspected they wanted to burn the house down to free themselves since fire is used as a cleansing agent in some rituals

It came out before AI. But we can't imagine the new versions aren't using it now.
So the Center for Inquiry has an epp called "The Holy Grail of EVP - Panasonic DR60" about the Panasonic and debunks it. Feel free to review the end part where an electrical engineer named Dr Castella PH.d & tears the device a new one. I doubt I Can share a URL but yeah look up the name.

I just watched this video and have to say a few things. Firstly, I know Kenny. He and I shared beers and food when he was traveling near me on business, and I'm a huge fan of him. Great dude. That said, I find a lot about this video and the Ph.D.'s assessment difficult to follow or disagree with. I'll also add that we reported the true sample rate of the DR60 at 6 kHz seven years ago when we posted our episodes and did our research. Additionally, we sent our own DR60 to Internationally Recognized forensic audiologist Ed Primeau, who, after analysis, was unable to either reproduce the audio we captured or explain it. Still, there's a lot of technical analysis of the DR60 here that I would have loved to have had when we produced the Sallie House series. That aside, I'll again say that we went through pretty much 85% of what Kenny is explaining here in our original series. I explained sample rates, how low the DR60 sample rate was, audio artifacting and more. I am intrigued by the Dr.'s analysis (which I will read as soon as I can) due to what it reveals about the data supposedly being fabricated by the device based on it attempting to 'fill in the blanks' for audio that it has captured. But still, I'm not following how it is that either Kenny or the man writing the paper think that silence should produce audio. Still the artifacts or the short growls are entirely plausible to me as a side effect of the recorder's construction. BUT, and I have to point this out, none of what Kenny captured in his recordings that he shared comes anywhere near what we recorded at the Sallie House in an empty room with a closed door. I also have to add that in the intervening years we have captured numerous clear audio recordings of intelligible whispering that's entirely different from the growls and the so-called DR-60 'angry man' classification of sounds. So while I have great respect for Kenny's analysis here and appreciate the enlightening new details that the paper offers, which I will now find and read myself, I don't consider this presentation anywhere near a full debunking of the device. I also want to add that two recorders getting two different sounds side by side is interesting, but the implication that if what the device is capturing is limited to something internal, in the world of paranormal research and investigations, that is not an automatic impossibility as we often consider the possibility that if something unknown is trying to send a message that it can be selective and even specific about how that message is transmitted and captured. There are literally thousands of cases of eyewitnesses to 'ghosts' and 'ufo's' who were standing together in a scenario where some saw or heard something and that was confirmed by others present, but still other people who were onsite saw or heard nothing. So my initial assessment is that this offers some intriguing new information it is not 'mystery solved' for me by any stretch and I'll add that I WANT to believe the recorder created what we picked up at the Sallie House. - Scott

I played file 10 for my husband who is a hospice nurse. I just wanted to see his reaction (I was terrified). All I told him beforehand was that this was an EVP recorded in an empty room on a voice activated recorder. After listening, he said it reminded him of a dementia patient, going between mumbling to himself and angry yelling. I thought it was kind of a weird take until I listened to this part 3 and learned what you guys hear in that recording. Now I am picturing some poor old man ghost kind of rocking back and forth, angry that countless strangers have been traipsing through his house with all manner of devices and lights, questions and demands. Kind of a sad thought.
So I just want to say besides the Analise M possession tapes that file 10 is the second scariest thing I've ever heard so people that think you're a fraidy cat are being silly. I have not seen a horror movie that has ever scared me, but those sound files..... Those might be in the group of something that does make me feel timid. One thing I think would be interesting to do is to try to recreate file 10 not by screaming but just breathing into the recorder. Like a really long sigh but right into the recorder. I wonder if that would also sound like a scream because it's up close. Maybe its not screaming at you🤞
