    I noticed that some HDRI map slows down the render time

  • @jpb10

    Does it matter whether you put the HDRI map into the Rendering/Environment map slot? Or you should leave the Vray sky in there?

    Hi I got problem while render animation. I find there is unusual dirty dirt at shadow part . It doesn’t look like dirt map nor amb oc. Anyway it is not acceptable . I use vray sun. I find the dirt appear even I turn shadow parameter up. Sth straight is that that dirty doesn’t appear when I render one shot, but appear after I render tga seq. Thx

    If there is no window that can get daylight from outside, how should we set the render? Is it possible for you to prepare a training video for it? because I have a hard time rendering a residential entrance or a windowless bathroom. it's not realistic at all. I will be grateful if you could help me. videos are great. thanks.

      @@paralyzer6834 I tried this as a method. Make sure to use ies lights, it is very difficult to provide a realistic ambiance with only vray light in a windowless indoor space. second, use vray lightMix from render elements. You can easily change the light intensity and color without re-rendering. And finally, I set the vray camera exposure setting to no exposure.

    why in slots for reflection and bump you put HDRI maps.What is the reason?

    • @nawrasryhan
      @nawrasryhan 4 роки тому +7

      Vray HDRI map is just like VRay Bitmap own loader that's recommended to use even when you are loading other formats like jpg , png and tif .
      it will provide better filtering , more optimized memory consumption and other useful features like UDIM , TX support and so on ..iirc it was mentioned in the official forum that they will remove the HDRI word from this map in the future so it won't confuse new users .
      Tip : you can right click and use Vray Bitmap to Vray Hdri bitmap converter to quickly move to this workflow and test it : ))

      The reason is HDRI maps works with gamma 1.0 which is the same with all raw data files. Just load one texture with HDRI map and one with Bitmap and check the difference in the material editor. The HDRI map is gamma corrected to 1.0 and the bitmap is gamma corrected to 2.2 i think. It's pretty visible in the material editor.

      @@user-sr3on1fg7y Митко здравей и благодаря.Българин съм.Да заредих две текстури в Hdri и растерна.Определено първата изсветлява значително.Трябва ли да и се направи гама корекция ,за да придобие оригиналния си образ.Изобщо какво мислиш за този вариант на текстуриране.Благодаря

    • @user-sr3on1fg7y
      @user-sr3on1fg7y 4 роки тому +2

      @@montoya3345Не прави корекция. Използвай за бъмп нормал и рефлеклън HDRI. Самия мап ти прави корекция към гама 1.0 и я изсветлява което от своя страна в много случай ше ти даде по правилен резултат. Не използвай HDRI за diffuse освен ако текстурата ти не е 32битов файл. Идеята на HDRI е че този формат съдържа голям фиапазон от цветова информация за пикселите. Рендерите ти във фрейм бъфера са 32 битови картинки. Можеш да направиш сравнение като запишеш картинка от фрейм бъфера в jpeg 8 bit и във фотошоп се опиташ да сложиш експозицията на макс. После сложи експозицията на макс на картинката ти във фрейм бъфера и виж разликата.
