    Mom grinned as she added a puree of fresh tomatoes, along with ground coriander, cumin, and a hint of garam masala. The mixture bubbled and thickened into a rich, fragrant gravy.
    "Finally, we add the marinated fish," Mom explained, gently placing the pieces into the sauce. "We let it simmer until the fish is tender and has absorbed all these wonderful flavors."
    As the dish cooked, Mom shared stories of her own childhood in Bihar, reminiscing about the times she spent in the kitchen with her mother, learning these cherished recipes.
