    Aren't you supposed to go elbow deep on the leg and hugging it to prevent under hook ?

      Pros: Tighter connection.
      Cons: Harder to secure. This can make it more challenging to use the secondary hand for monitoring and off-balancing. Additionally, you can still risk getting underhooked.
      Both options work, but I prefer a grip over the calf.
