The Legendary Ships aren't that much of a challenge, i'd destroyed all three by level 30 on hard mode The Crimson Fleet ships at The Key are more of a challenge as there are so many of them. If taking them on i recommend having a Class C ship with a top speed of 200+ , keeping it at full power & throttling back when turning. Having all weapona with a minimum range of 3,000 & a fire rate of 2.5+. Four turrets with 2 rear facing & 2 mounted on the side (the Nova Galactic wings are the best for this) Do every space battle in first person as 3rd person is for the skilless The ONLY way to have a Class C ship with a speed of 200+ is to have Sam Coe as a crew member due to his high piloting skill he adds 60+ to speed The ships at The Key respawn after a longish period of time so it's possible to go into battle with them often to gain much XP & Credits from the ships minimum Cr20,000, took me longer to get the salvage & Credits from the destroyed ships than it did to destroy them
You don't really need class C, a decently built class B ship will do just fine, but it does help. Class C give you access to a better shield in the Assurance 1800, and better turrets (PBO-300's). After this video, I did some tweaking on this ship to get the SF40 reactor to fit in there. Upgraded the turrets and shield, and switched around some parts to drop the mass a bit to compensate for the bigger reactor. You need to stay under 1000 mass to get 100 mobility out of the 3015's. Unfortunately no Nova parts for this ship. This one is part of my single manufacturer build series. This is all Stroud-Eklund
@@TeamScorpioRI My ships are 3/4,000+ mass with 100 mobility & a speed of 202, they also have a cargo capacity of between 10 & 13,000 , I only use B class shields as the class C are too heavy for little benefit if perk's included I never add anything that is purely cosmetic unless it's to mount weapons my ships still look sleek & aerodynamic as well as being absolutely enormous overhanging the launch pad at New Atlantis past the ship service technician All have 5 or 6 Class C engines, except the DJ Suzi B (Frontier) which I renamed after my girlfriend who died last October 27th , still has 6 Class A engines, 4600 cargo, 14 weapons, 234 speed 100 mobility, Class C reactor & grav driver
Sure you can have a 4000 mass ship with 100 mobility and a speed of 202. My Vengeance does that with Sam on board as well (It actually sits at 86 mobility,. but I am pushing a bit over 4.7k mass on that one). But if you want speed, your throwing on the class A White Dwarf 3015's. With Sam on board, you can hit 280 at max normal speed, and a max boost speed of about 1120. Downside is you don't have the engine thrust of the SAL6830's or the SuperNova 2200's. So in order to keep the mobiliy up, you need to drop the mass way down. It's more of a sports car vs an SUV. Both are good, but sometimes you just want that speed. Post up your ship builds. I'd love to see them.
@@TeamScorpioRI With my 4500 ish mass ship i have 202 speed, 12,800 ish cargo capacity, including shielded cargo & the best scan jammer , 14 weapons all with a range of 3,000, takes most ships out before they'rereached their weapons range, crew capacity 10, 16 bunks, 100 manoeuvrerability, shield 1600+ I have 6 other ships all with similar stats
