Something i learned about the tech 10 was that there is one boot for every 2 sizes with different inner booties. So the us 11 and us12 are the same size boot just with the correct inner bootie for your feet

Another solid video. I have a pair of the older TECH 10 boots that I have yet to wear. Been using my Tech 7’s. I had some FOX boots back in the day but nothing recently. They do look like a good fitting and comfortable boot.
Thanks Chris! I had a pair of 7s pretty quickly after having Tech 3s, this was like 15 years ago now. I liked them but really wanted the inner booty of the Tech 8. So I had them for like 10 years before switching to the 10s

Had SG12s ruptured my Achilles got tech 10s and no other boot offers the ankle support or the blade that runs up front and back up and down hyper extension of the foot.

How do the protection of the toebox compare? I’m
moving away from the instinct because the toebox is too soft.
Been a long time alpinestar user from way back , best boot I’ve had tried others but went back to the old trusted alpine stars . Tried the new gaerne sg-12’s so far there so comfortable, just got the fox instinct can’t wait to try them out
My instincts are good and worn in now, they are comfortable and I can feel the bike and shift easy. But man, they honestly provide zero ankle support, they will do next to nothing to stop hyper extending your ankle forward.

@@GregHitchko I still prefer them to the tech 10's. I'm not riding tracks as much. Mostly desert and trails so the comfort and feel is worth the trade off.

When it comes to comfortability, Fox wins 100%
When it comes to protection, I'm all in with the Tech 10. My issue with Fox is you can literally fold the Instincts in half out of the box, touching the toe to the shin with ease.

How do the toeboxes compare? I’ve been wearing fox forever but I need a stiffer more protective toebox.
@@ChrisKAloha tech 10 is gonna feel a lot more snug around the foot with the bootie in it and is a little skinnier in the toebox as well
Which one fits more snug around the shin and overall less bulky in size? I have skinny legs so I want to make sure they're not massive lol
I've got skinny calves too dude and hated that the Astars didn't seal that well and I always had dirt in my boots! The Fox ones fit way better around my calves and actually seal.

Found my Alpinestars 5 way more comfortable than any Fox I've worn, that early wear on those new Foxies is concerning, time will tell.
Never had a pair of the 5's but that's solid to know about them. But yup time will tell on these Fox boots!
Last 6 years and 2 pairs of tech 10,now to to single tracks and hard enduro I gone try the Fox, because de tech 10 are expensive and less quality, mine took off in front!
Next time please mention what size of regular shoes and boots you wear and what size of each motocross boot fit you best. Also, describe the shape of you feet or just show you bare or socked feet so people have an idea of them. From my experience, each motocross boot manufacturer has a weird idea of the shape of a human foot. Most of them make very narrow boots (in the foot part), and what's worse, they make them narrow where the foot its actually the widest, and make them wide where the foot is narrow. They also use wrong proportions: for example, Alpinestars make boots with very short forefoot part, so to make a boot that would fit a size 12 foot one would have to take the front part of a size 14 or 15 boot and connect it to the back part of a size 10 boot

Great video Greg ✊🏻✊🏻 I’ve had fox instinct on 3 separate occasions… I always really really want to love them but I end up going back to Tech 10 every time 🤦🏻♂️ that stability and confidence they bring is just second to none. Comfort fox/ safety tech10 ✌🏻
