True about not needing a heater but I think it's good to have one to start at least to help the plants, microfauna and bacteria until it's all better established.
@stevegee8010 it's set at a minimal 68f... weather's been a bit less cold since Sunday so tank is sitting round 70-72f during the day so heater ain't been coming on
ua-cam.com/video/WaczDeyHuD4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Day 18 and BABIES 😮 ... well A baby ... and yes I know you could spawn white clouds in a bucket ... but I guess it proves it does work when on day 18 an egg and a fry have managed to survive ....
@jaylightfoot3303 not a strart its wee project just trying out the father fish method using budget substrate and on a small scale setup as I have never had a dirted or sand substrate before ..... and I been watching father fish videos for a couple of years and thought I'd give it a go and record it to see how it goes .... my other two tanks in other videos
@tktropicals4997 it seems to be doing OK for the moment see the day 10 video ... and an inch of soil / potting compost .... is an inch no matter what size tank it is ......

That is way too much substrate in that small aquarium. Enjoy your muddy swamp tank.
