Is their much of a market now in china for crayfish after Covid?
Where did you buy your pot tipper ?
The pot tipper came with the boat which was built in Freemantle by Westcoaster
@@henrylawrie4569 thanks. Do they have a website ?
Im not sure if they do
why does the cray get thrown overboard at 3:19?
Tassie Freedivers because the smaller crays are worth a lot more per kg than the large ones
oh that's weird in Tasmania it's the opposite: larger crays are worth more per kilo
That's big enough but i think it's a female lobster probably with eggs
Pretty slow act if you ask me WA crayfishing much more efficient and catch a good 130 to 140 ton per season now very very sustainable industry
That big one must have at least been 4 and a bit kg
so cool. Are they going to be exported entirely or also be sold to local market?
Some go to the Sydney markets and the others go to China
That is a strong fish
maybe the crays have eggs must throw back been there done that
Stephen Newman - At the time the big crays weren’t worth as much per kilogram as the smaller ones so we mainly just kept the smaller ones
