I'm a big proponent of letting people play they way they want to play. If I were to pick one set of mods that I wish were just in the game however... GGMS makes 3 bobblehead mods that allow you to place in the bobblehead spot (only in vehicles that can have bobbleheads so not all) a radar with some fuel, a repair box with repair points tires and some fuel, or a seismometer that you can use. On my mod save I use it in a scout and hit the seismic vibrator required quests while I'm doing my scout run for peak efficiency. I'm also with you though that running around with the big module on an offroad truck is both a fun and satisfying experience so either way is good with me!
I 100% agree, this game has no "right" way to play it, and shouldn't be looked at like that. I've always supported that mentality myself. I know the bobble heads you're referring to and I think they're great! One of my most favorite memories was scouting the Northern Aegis Installation with the Gremlin mod, it's a modified Acteon, and I used that seismic vibrator bobble head to do the same thing. It worked flawlessly. One thing I noticed is if you use it with a truck that has a mini crane installed it doesn't work right, other than that, it's great! 😁
The PS5 version of the game won't let me complete this contract. It'll let me get atarted but when I get to the first location, it doesn't even show on the function menu to give me the option to deploy the module. It gives me the option to turn on/off the beacon but that's it. Also, the directional pad works sporadically, which makes it hard too toggle back and forth between the function menu and on screen controls. I can only assume it's some kind glitch that needs to be fixed by the devs...if they even know about it.🙄
@biggie01taws6 Sometimes if you're not in the exact right position it won't give you the option to scan, but it sounds like you're having further issues with your functions menu not working so I don't know.
@@zorshix I started playing again earlier but I stayed in Michigan this time and everything semmed to be working fine. But that first time I made it to the first seismic location in Russia, I was able to wipe that one out, as you already know, but then I had to step away...so I paused my game for a while. When I came back to resume, it only gave me the option to restart the contract. I restarted and that's when all the issues started creeping in with the function menu, etc. I was able to make it to the first location again and the beeping slowed down and the distance marker disappeared, just like it's supposed to, but there was still no option to deploy the module on the function menu. Surely it wouldn't have anything to do with me jumping ahead to Russia without finishing enough areas in Michigan or Alaska, I wouldn't think, right lol?
@biggie01taws6 Jumping ahead wouldn't have anything to do with it. It sounds like you encountered a bug. That's frustrating, but that's SnowRunner. You're not alone. Hope everything goes better from here.
Why your truck easily goes through mud, but my truck always stuck in mud, im quitting this game ,, 6 hours long in this mission still only completed north part 😢
Some of it is that the video is sped up and can make it look like it's going faster through the Mud than it is. Other than that, just make sure you're paying attention to where I'm driving because I avoid the deepest mud. It takes practice to get better at mud navigation and I know you can figure it out. 👍
@@zorshix The problem is I just started snowrunner, and wanted to unlock tatarin for ease .. .but today I grinded in game for like 8 hours and thankfully completed,i watched your video again and chose your route instead of my own and finally completed that shitty mission 😅
@@zorshix this is the hardest game I have played until now, this game doesn't even have a proper tutorial, I even had to check videos to load long logs
@Silentkidgaming it's a very difficult game without much guidance at all. That is the point of the series I'm making, starting with Michigan. To give guidance to people who would normally just give up from the difficulty. There's nothing wrong with skipping ahead to get better trucks but I would definitely advise starting from the beginning and getting some experience with Michigan to get better at learning how everything works. Have you been following my walkthroughs starting with Michigan? I go through every region and show efficient ways to do things step by step. Hope it helps you out, the playlists are on my channel page. 👍

That one in the south east I always have to hunt for, going over the hill from the house makes that so much more locatable haha
For sure, land marks can be so helpful.
I still dont understand how to GET the geological exploration contract... Where is it??
It's in the contract list, I believe the third tab down. It should be available to activate from the start of Taymyr.
@@zorshix thank you lol. I didn't see it before :P

It could very well be a bug, you can report it to Saber using their email
