1:35 Nah you keep them so you can look again if you forget during the round. 5:00 Keeping in mind that players are keeping their info with themselves until the reveal, it makes the most sense in this order: 1 - Public Info, 2 - Secret Info, 3 - Unknown Info (in 2-4 player games) 8:10 Actually, you sell all your stocks at their current value right after finding out who has the most of each! THEN you count up the most money. Great game, played it for the first time recently.
I'm not a finance or numbers person, but this game is a lot of fun, especially with the expansions. The investor abilities and strategies can get really broken if you know how to play them well. Glad you reviewed it!
it’s super cool that a game with an idea like this can be so fun looking and intriguing to play, i really like the idea that you can have the most money one round but then next round you could be broke edit: definitely picking this up soon
This is our favourite short/filler game. Fast, easy and fun (though I'd always use the advanced side). It can have a runaway leader (~rich gets richer), but as breif as it is that hardly matters.
Have you considered slapping a rating on your game reviews? Instead of the BGG standard 10-scale you could use your patented “tiers” method..... might be fun.
This a great game but I don't think it's in print so sorta useless. It has a Kickstarter in 2019 for that giant expensive version but that's it. Used prices reflect that too. I played this game just a few times but really enjoyed it but I'm not spending 80$ on at its current used prices. Reprint the base game!!!
@@sethvanorden1 $80 is still very pricey though. Unless people are extremely passionate about this game, I suggest they wait for the regular edition to come back into print.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Stockpile. We are glad you like it and hope you get to check out some of the expansions in later plays.
This game is looking like a much stronger version if what I like about monopoly, definitely gonna give it a try!
Where are you going to buy it?

“How to Commit a Federal Crime: The Game”
"The secret ingredient is crime."
It's technically only considered a crime if you aren't part of a big investment firm.
there's an epic edition with both expansions in it, but they missed the opportunity to call it the "broker edition".

I usually hate stock games, but this one hits the sweet spot.
same
it's like a more modern Monopoly lol
"it all goes back in the box" "what comes up must come down" game seems pretty fun though

Seth is a good friend of mine - glad to see you enjoyed it!
As somebody that loves board games, works in finance, and loves “take that moments” in games, this looks like an A+
nice review. I've heard of this game, I thought it was a number crunching game, but this sounds a lot more fun😊thanks!

Although I hate the theme, the game itself definitely doesn't seem too bad.
5 can play at that game!
Who saw the thumbnail and clicked it right away?
... huh. I wonder if this would be a good game to teach highschool economic students about the stock market

Wait does this mean this game got reprinted? I know when I looked a while ago I couldn't find it anywhere.

And how many people can play this game?
2-5, but people recommend 3-5, best at 4 and 5.
Does any one actually use the term meoples
I thought they were spelled "meople".
like "mini-people".
@@AnimeWolf5193 They probably are I wasn’t sure how to spell them when I wrote this comment.
@@graemenelson8181 Pretty sure most people call them meeple. And yes they do call them that. And it's kinda annoying.

ooh, boy. that's a big ask. I think he's focusing primarily on lighter weight games.
