Pastor jerome seems so much more important to the story than we've seen, honesty he should be the protagonist , I'm guessing father gets a misunderstanding from him and thinks he’s a god then takes his daughter(to recruit into edens gate), the pastor would've made his own demon/enemy then.... a connection beteen the main hero and main villian, now thats some powerful stuff.
This pastor is a badass. During the confrontation with John seed everyone is taken hostage and he switches the edens gate bible with his own in the confusion another character causes and low key implies there’s a weapon inside it allowing you to turn the tables.

Jhumm03 Plays it could have been so much better, and the way the trailer portrays Father as a egotistical psychopath was lost in transition. Not to mention the ending was so rushed it felt like a cut and dry perfect example on how NOT to end a story about taking down a cult of extremists and murderers.
