I am actually glad you take time to explain 35 dollars graphic cards when everybody else is talking about 1000 dollars plus RTX 2080 Ti and others of its kind. For those of us who can only afford low end cards ( I am using Nvidia MX 230 2 GB), it's quite reassuring to know that we are still being countered. Thanks.

Too bad Nvidia scrape SLI on low end cards. AMD though let you crossfire HD5450, and it can gain 70-95% from single card, albeit still a terrible performance. EDIT : 70-95% boost compared to single

Great card, built my parents pc for $ 150 with i3 2100 / 4 gb and this msi gt 710. with an SSD . it will still rock in 10 years for the purpose they have with the system its great combination and very low power consumption
At what, lowest possible settings 800x600? It's not that the 710 can't run GTA V, it's that for $35 you could get a GTX 6XX series card that'll wipe the 710 no problem.
I swear this channel was at 4k sub's when I first encountered it.. just like 2-3wks ago. Such a straightforward approach, and the info in this video was brilliant.
I wrote you a while back where I bought a Dell Optiplex I5-2400 PC with 8GB and Windows 10 under $150 and that runs great. Today, I followed your advice and got a MSI GT-710 with 2GB, (they were selling the 2GB cards cheaper than the 1GB cards). installed it in my 790, hooked it up to my 32 Inch Roku TV on a HDMI Cable, and it is just perfect for watching videos, Netflix etc. In short, exactly what you suggested in your video,. BIG Improvement ! Thanks Again !
The GT 710 is often sold above $50 in 2019 so in every situation in the future there isn't a valid use for this item at the current price point because there are used and new graphics cards of equal or less pricing that give better performance. There are used RX 560-570 cards in the 40 to 90 dollar range that provide better value but even new Nvidia cards such as the GT 730, GT 1030, and GTX 1050 can occasionally be sold between 50 to 100 new.

SLI X number of card doesn't give you X times the performance in practice. Furthermore, half of the game in the market doesn't benefit from SLI at all. In general, SLI is only good for people who are rich.
I have the DDR5 version of the 710 GT and it outperforms my HD 530 integrated now. Your obviously reviewing the DDR3 version, still, it's hardly a great difference.
I have that card with DDR5 2gig 5000 mhz and it is almost equal to the UHD 630 integrated, as in Cinebench 20 yielded a 36 point difference in favor of integrated.
You wrong, GT 710 with hd2000 Intel graphics can run ghost recon future Soldier, battlefield 4, the division game.... Low profile gamers can buy this card. Enjoy
Hi, I bought a used i5 4th Gen Dell Optiplex in the small case. I use it for my new photography hobby and paintshop pro. Some of the AI features and filters in the software are greyed out as I don’t have a GPU. I also find stuff like intelligent tools that make selection and erasing based on contrast painfully slow. I got over not having a HDMI port with an adapter that works great. On a 4th Gen I5 would one of these cheap graphics cards make the situation worse? I also have the issue my internal power supply is just 250W. Most of the higher spec low profile cards seam to demand more power or would bring me dangerously close to maxing out. Plus I only have power supply from the slot itself. What would you recommend. Although a few years old now your video is the most informative I’ve found and potentially saved me spending £50 on something that won’t help. Thanks 🙏
I played ATS on it for a couple minutes. It was too choppy. Lowering the graphics enough to make it smooth would also make it less playable for another reason. I can't monitor how fast I'm driving. That's a problem since it's not GTA. Traffic tickets are expensive.
I have this graphic card, i bought it temprorary until i save soma more money for better gpu. After a few weeks of intense usage i was supprised 4k no problem gta 4 with everything on high only shadows on medium no problem battlefield no problem.... For 35$ it's amazing.
Even though this comment is 3 years old it is the most bullshit one I have ever seem, one of the worst Pc ports to ever exist running at 4K with everything on high and shadows on medium using a gt710? Bruh
this isnt really correct, i've got a gt 710 and: minecraft runs on even above 200 fps league of legends runs on idk how much but its 60 fps havent got the other games, but other games such as fortnite, just cause 2, gta san andreas will run on 30 fps (gta sa will run on 60 duh) so yeaaaaaa
I think you are right. I have a computer from 2008 lga 775(e2200 2,2 ghz CPU,3GB ddr2 ram, 512 MB 9500 GT GPU) and i upgraded it with e8600 3,3 ghz and nvidia GT 710 2GB. Which i must say, it did brought improvement. Battlefield Bad Company 2 and World of Tanks went from lowest possible settings and bad fps to (almost) medium settings and decent fps :)
not really, but it can happen when theres a lot of explosions and smoke at the same time. And i have it on low settings (i maxed the resolution though) because i need highest fps possible, its first person shooter game after all.
Aleksander Zagmajster Brotha, your old rig is kinda the same with mine. E2180 and the 8400GS tho. I'm finally relieved to see some people get that those cards are used for light gaming
That depends upon integrated graphics type. If it's labeled "R5" or HD 8400, than GT 710 is an upgrade, if it's labeled "R7" (A8, A10 APUs) - downgrade.
I have an Asus Essentio with an Athlon II 220 and radeon hd 3000 chipset. It's about 5 years old. The chipset offers VGA + SBI + hdmi. It plays back hd video quite nicely but is terrible at gaming. Would you recommend this card as an upgrade? I already have the ports & hd playback capability, but it *is* 5 years old. Sounds like a wah to me. I'm interested in your comments...
Like I said in the video, Intel has come miles and miles from just 5 years ago! Imagine if the CPU itself was 5 times faster! :) (it isn't even double!)
yes is the same of nividia the was a time when they called GT7300 then they reboot to GEFORCE GT 100, an now whe are in the GE FORCE 1080 again, (its one of the most powerful) i got the INTEL 530 SKYLAKE and its cool, :3 i wanted to buy a Nvidia but, he is right i saw it in every comparision
The gt710 isn't really a bad choice for a budget gamer, it can run many games on medium to low, you said the gt series if nvidia is for working?? You are wrong the gt 1030 is a good choice for a gpu under $100
Although i like the information you mentioned in this video, i call bullshit ! you're telling me that a 2GB graphics card is built only for playing HD video ? bullshit ! The GT 710 can play GTA IV and many other games that built in graphics cards can't However i'm with you about buying it only for an old computer which i did you can't tell people to go for the RX 460 when they are looking at a less than 40 dollars graphics card, it's not in the same budget This graphics card will be good if you want to revive an old PC and play some relatively new games on it for few dollars
Hello, I have just been given a stack of old Windows XP games such as TES Oblivion, GTA San Andreas and Rome Total War and am looking to buy a cheap pc off ebay to play them. What would be better: Dell Optiplex SFF- Dual Core 3GHZ - 4GB RAM - 1TB HDD - GT730 - Windows XP or Dell Optiplex SFF - Core 2 Quad - 4GB RAM - 1TB HDD - 2GB GT710 - Windows XP Both are similarly priced. Would either of these be able to play later XP games such as TES Skyrim, GTA IV and Shogun Total War 2? Sorry if I sound a complete noob but I have only ever had games consoles in the past so don't really know much about PCs.
I have an i5-4460 and a GT730, should I replace it or use my intel graphics instead? I currently play Dota 2 at 80 fps average at 1600x900 with no AA, Additive light and water reflection and Tomb Raider(2013) at 1600x900 low settings, sometimes running at above 40 fps but mostly runs at 60 fps.
The i5-4460 does not have the HD 530 from the Skylake, your GT 730 is better (slightly) than what is in the Haswell chip, so by all means, keep using it...
i need help every time i install the graphics card i always get suck on the " press esc to the start up menu" when i click it. it takes me to a black screen with a blinking dot in the top left corner
Yeah, people forget not everyone uses their computers for games, and simply want a graphics card that is a bit better than the integrated card and allows for multiple monitors and allows us to watch blu ray movies.
How does this card compare to my 2009 G-Force 240 1 GB video card, that came with my Dell XPS 8000? This card is $35 but I see my old card is selling on eBay for 45 dollars and on Amazon for $65.
I scored an Optiplex 3010 pc from my work for free. It's a tiny computer, would it be worth upgrading the one in it to this? the current one is the stock one it came with.
As a guy who followed your advice and got a Dell Optiplex 790, I-5 2400, 8GB, 500MB PC just like on your video off E-bay and wrote you about it, thanks for doing this video as I was looking forward to this review you said you would do. Most of the gamer cards out there far out strip what I paid for my whole PC. $35 ? That is perfect !
So I have a question, I am building a new amd system with a new 1600 AF paired to a Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro Wifi AM4. Obviously I will need a GPU. I will only be using this to watch VLC movies at 720 or 1080 and also watching movies on crackle, vudu, popcornflix, etc. What affordable options under $100 that will suffice. I have having a hard time figuring this out. No games will ever be played on this system.
Nice video, congratz. This was what I was looking for, I'll be replacing my hd 3450 on my optiplex 980 for this gt 710 which by the way for people who are looking to play League of legends 1080p high settings 60fps they can do it with this graphics card it's one of the few games that u will be able to play "ok"
It will be possible the GT 710 Silent 0db in a Core i5-4590 3.30GHz Computer with Graphics Integrated HD Graphics 4600 with a Power Supply of 240Watts? ... Although the Core i5-2 Generation Think Center offers a very special entry, which only the brand has it and that is the Display Port
I got a old Dell precision T5400 and the video card fan is breaking i have no video out on the motherboard so i was wondering if i should buy this and use it

I have that card with DDR5 2gig 5000 mhz and it is almost equal to the UHD 630 integrated, as in Cinebench 20 yielded a 36 point difference in favor of integrated.
How does the gt710 stack up against the Intel graphics found on the core i5 4th gen processors?
HD 4600 i think is better
You wrong, GT 710 with hd2000 Intel graphics can run ghost recon future Soldier, battlefield 4, the division game.... Low profile gamers can buy this card. Enjoy
You are right. I have the card and actually no regrets about it. Ot can run almost all games in medium settings.
@@maheshchandra3894 hello can i buy for medium quality games. For games example Nfs Hot pursuit 2010, most wanted 2012, Far cry 3, Pes 2016 etc.
Thanks 🙏
Thank You you have a gift of teaching and explaining, I find it pretty accurate, God Bless
Your videos are the best!! You explain everything so well.
I jusy bought it because at least its better tham my shitty Geforce 210
Jeviie haha i agreed... i had the same GeForce 210, got replaced with 2GB gt710, now Crysis run well on my dual core 4gb ram PC
I have that card , will it make a huge difference if i switch to this card ?
Better than my 8400GS. Have fun
I played ATS on it for a couple minutes. It was too choppy. Lowering the graphics enough to make it smooth would also make it less playable for another reason. I can't monitor how fast I'm driving. That's a problem since it's not GTA. Traffic tickets are expensive.
I have a 210 too. Upgrading from 210 to 710 is WORTH IT
can the graphics play and edit 4k videos? i have the intel core 2 quad CPU Q8400 it's an old cpu but i want to edit 4K or watch 4K.
thanks, saved me 50 squid as I'm a noob at pc's and was just about to buy that card
gimme ur budget
Khalid Ansari I can get you counterfeit squids if you want? They're octopi but don't tell anyone that
PEOPLE ON UA-cam ARE SO FUNNY LOL
Buy it. Its worth it.
Buy a 1050ti done
Quite possibly the most succinct and lucid and pertinent explanation of the value of a video card that I have ever seen. And no possibly about it :-)
I have this graphic card, i bought it temprorary until i save soma more money for better gpu. After a few weeks of intense usage i was supprised 4k no problem gta 4 with everything on high only shadows on medium no problem battlefield no problem.... For 35$ it's amazing.
is your gt710 2GB ?
A Thx for lying m8
Yeah it is.
Even though this comment is 3 years old it is the most bullshit one I have ever seem, one of the worst Pc ports to ever exist running at 4K with everything on high and shadows on medium using a gt710? Bruh
@@pedroferreira4323 he said GTA 4 not 5
i just wanna watch 1080 videos on line on i5 3rd gen 3470 . 710 1gb is enough ?
this isnt really correct, i've got a gt 710 and:
minecraft runs on even above 200 fps
league of legends runs on idk how much but its 60 fps
havent got the other games, but other games such as fortnite, just cause 2, gta san andreas will run on 30 fps (gta sa will run on 60 duh)
so yeaaaaaa
so this $35 graphic card gives you 30 fps on fortnite?
Mythi almost like u arent using the same computers as him.
What is ur CPU?
Should I need to buy it I have radeon HD 7480D
I think you are right. I have a computer from 2008 lga 775(e2200 2,2 ghz CPU,3GB ddr2 ram, 512 MB 9500 GT GPU) and i upgraded it with e8600 3,3 ghz and nvidia GT 710 2GB.
Which i must say, it did brought improvement. Battlefield Bad Company 2 and World of Tanks went from lowest possible settings and bad fps to (almost) medium settings and decent fps :)
do you have any lag on bf bc2 multiplayer? with gt 710?
not really, but it can happen when theres a lot of explosions and smoke at the same time. And i have it on low settings (i maxed the resolution though) because i need highest fps possible, its first person shooter game after all.
Bro I have e2180 and1gb ram should I upgrade it with gt710 or leave as it is coz video playback is really bad
Aleksander Zagmajster Brotha, your old rig is kinda the same with mine. E2180 and the 8400GS tho. I'm finally relieved to see some people get that those cards are used for light gaming
even though i know all this, i still enjoy watching because you're explaining everything so perfectly! Keep up the good work!
Wow so this is worse than AMD APU integrated graphics?
Yes
That depends upon integrated graphics type. If it's labeled "R5" or HD 8400, than GT 710 is an upgrade, if it's labeled "R7" (A8, A10 APUs) - downgrade.
TeamRespawn no he's lying
Very polite, very well spoken. A rare pleasure to listen to.
Is gtx 710 with intel core2 duo is good for gaming....
Danish Khan there is no such thing as a gtx 710
for older games sure, it would run WOW cataclysm and titles of that age perfectly
For very light gaming is ok
$35!! It cost $70 over here.
Is the GT 710 good for PCSX2 or dolphin?
“ I have sitting here on my desk an *ezuz* “
I have an Asus Essentio with an Athlon II 220 and radeon hd 3000 chipset. It's about 5 years old. The chipset offers VGA + SBI + hdmi. It plays back hd video quite nicely but is terrible at gaming. Would you recommend this card as an upgrade? I already have the ports & hd playback capability, but it *is* 5 years old. Sounds like a wah to me. I'm interested in your comments...
1:30 - OK, I get it. Thank you and bye :D
can i get a review on Geforce GTX 1650?
"hd530" 500% faster than "hd2000", really?
gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-HD-530-Desktop-Skylake-vs-Intel-HD-2000-Desktop-11-GHz/m33102vsm7697
Yes, really... 524% faster to be exact...
+Tech Deals wow, unbelievable!
Like I said in the video, Intel has come miles and miles from just 5 years ago!
Imagine if the CPU itself was 5 times faster! :) (it isn't even double!)
+Tech Deals My i5 2320 can play 4K UA-cam videos smooth.
yes is the same of nividia the was a time when they called GT7300 then they reboot to
GEFORCE GT 100, an now whe are in the GE FORCE 1080 again, (its one of the most powerful)
i got the INTEL 530 SKYLAKE and its cool, :3
i wanted to buy a Nvidia but, he is right i saw it in every comparision
The gt710 isn't really a bad choice for a budget gamer, it can run many games on medium to low, you said the gt series if nvidia is for working?? You are wrong the gt 1030 is a good choice for a gpu under $100
You can even run gta 5 on this card! All games can be played with this card, some with max settings and some with low settings.
I have the card and that is DEFINITELY NOT TRUE
@@decadunce9205 I have the card and it is definitely true. Just run it on medium settings or low settings on 4 gb ram and intel i3.(as I do)
@@maheshchandra3894 no u are false I play fortnite on 20 fps lowest settings!
@@PavvlosOG Well It can usually run all games BEFORE 2015. Don't be mad and play PUBG Lite as I do.😀😀😀
@@maheshchandra3894 Hello thanks for the reply, you know any good games before 2015?
will it fit in a dell optiplex 755 sff?
Although i like the information you mentioned in this video, i call bullshit !
you're telling me that a 2GB graphics card is built only for playing HD video ? bullshit !
The GT 710 can play GTA IV and many other games that built in graphics cards can't
However i'm with you about buying it only for an old computer which i did
you can't tell people to go for the RX 460 when they are looking at a less than 40 dollars graphics card, it's not in the same budget
This graphics card will be good if you want to revive an old PC and play some relatively new games on it for few dollars
Edit: It can even run GTA V !! So... BULL FREAKING SHIT !!
Hello, I have just been given a stack of old Windows XP games such as TES Oblivion, GTA San Andreas and Rome Total War and am looking to buy a cheap pc off ebay to play them. What would be better:
Dell Optiplex SFF- Dual Core 3GHZ - 4GB RAM - 1TB HDD - GT730 - Windows XP
or
Dell Optiplex SFF - Core 2 Quad - 4GB RAM - 1TB HDD - 2GB GT710 - Windows XP
Both are similarly priced. Would either of these be able to play later XP games such as TES Skyrim, GTA IV and Shogun Total War 2? Sorry if I sound a complete noob but I have only ever had games consoles in the past so don't really know much about PCs.
why am i watching this video in 2019 after buying gtx 1660 super
at about the 9 min. mark you say to go to something .com for the latest drivers for this card. where is that? thanks
I have an i5-4460 and a GT730, should I replace it or use my intel graphics instead?
I currently play Dota 2 at 80 fps average at 1600x900 with no AA, Additive light and water reflection
and Tomb Raider(2013) at 1600x900 low settings, sometimes running at above 40 fps but mostly runs at 60 fps.
The i5-4460 does not have the HD 530 from the Skylake, your GT 730 is better (slightly) than what is in the Haswell chip, so by all means, keep using it...
thanks for the info and the reply. :)
RyupunkZ i got save card and I'm thinking of replacing it with GTX750 TI
i need help every time i install the graphics card i always get suck on the " press esc to the start up menu" when i click it. it takes me to a black screen with a blinking dot in the top left corner
this is not a gaming card.........
Yeah, people forget not everyone uses their computers for games, and simply want a graphics card that is a bit better than the integrated card and allows for multiple monitors and allows us to watch blu ray movies.
Hi, excellent video As usual. I have an I3 4130 on board a dell 9120 sff do you think that it will be upgraded with a gt 710
How does this card compare to my 2009 G-Force 240 1 GB video card, that came with my Dell XPS 8000? This card is $35 but I see my old card is selling on eBay for 45 dollars and on Amazon for $65.
what about the ASUS GeForce GT 1030 Low Profile Passive Cooled 2GB ? i cant find any reviews :(
That's exactly what I wanted, for a media PC, great review and to the point!
very clear and straight to the point video. thanks for the review
I love your channel so much, glad to see the growth. So professional
I love you so much man. You are doing good things. I will support you forever.
I just got a dell optiplex 790 with i5. Since the computers a budget pc do you think that 710 graphics card will help?
@carti vamp67 this was a old comment, I ended up getting a GT 1030 on my ( turning school computer into gaming pc video
Will I be able to play 4K videos and all on the $135 PC..No gaming at all...All playback at 4K@60hz?
I scored an Optiplex 3010 pc from my work for free. It's a tiny computer, would it be worth upgrading the one in it to this? the current one is the stock one it came with.
As a guy who followed your advice and got a Dell Optiplex 790, I-5 2400, 8GB, 500MB PC just like on your video off E-bay and wrote you about it, thanks for doing this video as I was looking forward to this review you said you would do. Most of the gamer cards out there far out strip what I paid for my whole PC. $35 ? That is perfect !
What version did you get? Got the 2gb gddr5 one. Got it because I have a PC with GMA 4500 graphics.
Hi Can you explain why the 2 GB card is not needed as the 1 GB is enough
I have an older machine with interrogated video card, will this play world of warcraft you think? it says it will accept 700 series
Hey man, thanks for this great video. It was straight to the point and very informative. Keep up with the good work!
My processor is core i3 9th gen.will this card give me any boost?
I got a old Dell precision T5400 and the video card fan is breaking i have no video out on the motherboard so i was wondering if i should buy this and use it
Very clear explanation, great job.
Super useful info. Thanks!
