The Orange was a color morph, there’s no red....well, I just say it’s definitely not what an artist considers “rainbow”. Most artists are more specific about color. Or maybe that’s just the hairdresser in me?

When you said you were possibly going to do a rainbow soap in the fall my mind immediately went to a 'rust' colored rainbow! More 'orangey' tones that would be so beautiful! I don't even know if that makes any sense at all 😂 but it does to me!

I’m in my senior year of high school currently, and i would have been on a choir tour to Disneyland if the quarantine hadn’t happened. A friend introduced me to these videos and I have to say, even though I have zero interest in making soap for myself, I can't stop watching them! You are so positive and inspiring and uplifting, and I love that you're not afraid to try and fail at new things. As someone who constantly struggles with my own art (cosplaying and sewing and other costume-related things), it's nice to have someone positive and encouraging to look up to. brangwy I liked the video!! Alas, my mom was one of those parents. I got one box of sugar cereal of my choice every year on my birthday, but otherwise it was plain puffed rice, puffed wheat, or shredded wheat for breakfast. 😖 Not sure how she justified the 4 spoonfuls or sugar I’d put on top!! Lol
I actually wasn’t allowed to have sugary cereal either. 🤣 We could have oatmeal, cream of wheat or cornflakes. But yeah, when my mom left the kitchen, we’d sprinkle sugar on it!
As a child of the 80s...I feel old knowing you were born the summer before my senior year.lol Old school Trix (real trix) would tie lucky charms, but today, lucky charms wins hands down.
I remember these little plastic charms that we put on red plastic chains..we could wear them as belts, necklaces, bracelets.. they were my sister and my absolute favorite things in the world. Also sticker collections.. scratch n sniff, glitter ones, puffy stickers.. the simplicity, the lightheartedness, the warmth of my childhood is my greatest blessing and I strived daily to give that to my children as babies and toddlers and now they're teens, almost adults, and they have such loving hearts and kindness for others. It's all I ever wanted for them. To love and be loved.

My favorite rainbow soap was rainbow drop and that was for the fragrance, the "cocktails by the pool" fragrance is amazing. You should bring that fragrance back and make soapy cupcakes!

I'm super excited about the Summer Collection. PS....yes to an autumn muted rainbow. Autumn is my favorite season and we don't get many rainbows 😉... If any at all. You make my day so much brighter and give me much needed giggle fits with you ALL the time. Ige been diagnosed with manic depression and one of my triggers are sight...so this past year I've been trying to surround myself with more positive things...and also clean the house more....in turn its helped keeo my mind more serene. Autumn has always seemed to be more of my ups...and I love rainbows...and peace signs.....and yen Yang's... So imagining a deeper color raindow would be amazing! Ya know!! Things have changed so much with technology in today's world & not always a happy change so seeing u bubbly and bright puts a much needed smile on my face! Edit: people have been correcting me and saying Pride month is June. Yall aren't wrong, but july and august are both pride month where I live so forgive me for not being american lol!
In Finland there are Pride parades from June to September. In my city we celebrate Pride at August. So it's not at same time everywhere, although our capital city Helsinki has their Pride in last week of June.

ballerina2rockerchik - when the pretty green micas are mixed into soap batter, they take on a horrid greyish/green hue. As a soap maker, I know the feeling of looking at the baby barf green and just hoping it will look better are the soap cures. The next day it always looks better - but for the first 12 hours or so, I’m always very scared of how bad the soap will turn out.

Ya but I like them! As a child we used to pretend the charms were jewelry. Used to get the "earrings" stuck in my hair. Hahahaha the new charms...to fancy ....and they taste a little different.

I actually wasn’t allowed to have sugary cereal either. 🤣 We could have oatmeal, cream of wheat or cornflakes. But yeah, when my mom left the kitchen, we’d sprinkle sugar on it!

I remember these little plastic charms that we put on red plastic chains..we could wear them as belts, necklaces, bracelets.. they were my sister and my absolute favorite things in the world. Also sticker collections.. scratch n sniff, glitter ones, puffy stickers.. the simplicity, the lightheartedness, the warmth of my childhood is my greatest blessing and I strived daily to give that to my children as babies and toddlers and now they're teens, almost adults, and they have such loving hearts and kindness for others. It's all I ever wanted for them. To love and be loved.

My favorite rainbow soap was rainbow drop and that was for the fragrance, the "cocktails by the pool" fragrance is amazing. You should bring that fragrance back and make soapy cupcakes!

I had trix whenever i was at school and when we didn't have money. I remember lucky charms was luxury and i did what i could to make it last. I loved it sooo much so when we got a box i knew it was to be treasured. Idk lol i loved eating a bowl n watching Saturday morning cartoons.. Ahhh yes.

PS....yes to an autumn muted rainbow. Autumn is my favorite season and we don't get many rainbows 😉... If any at all. You make my day so much brighter and give me much needed giggle fits with you ALL the time. Ige been diagnosed with manic depression and one of my triggers are sight...so this past year I've been trying to surround myself with more positive things...and also clean the house more....in turn its helped keeo my mind more serene. Autumn has always seemed to be more of my ups...and I love rainbows...and peace signs.....and yen Yang's... So imagining a deeper color raindow would be amazing! I'd prolly buy 2 because I'd never want to use it....hahahaha....or I'd buy one and frame it.

I'm much older than you but I grew up just like u and enjoyed the type of family life u did and I brought that to my marriage and children so they would grow up the same! I was ridiculed a lot in school for being a country bumpkin so when I had children I decided to homeschool them. It has worked out somewhat & sometimes not cause who wants to listen to mama ? Ya know!! Things have changed so much with technology in today's world & not always a happy change so seeing u bubbly and bright puts a much needed smile on my face! Ur A true inspiration to keep a person going in bad times!! I've joined your club and look forward to the journey!!

I think Rainbows are more of a spring thing cause like April showers and all that, but July (and August in some places) is pride month so I can see why so many people make rainbow soaps in those months.
Edit: people have been correcting me and saying Pride month is June. Yall aren't wrong, but july and august are both pride month where I live so forgive me for not being american lol!

In Finland there are Pride parades from June to September. In my city we celebrate Pride at August. So it's not at same time everywhere, although our capital city Helsinki has their Pride in last week of June.

ballerina2rockerchik - when the pretty green micas are mixed into soap batter, they take on a horrid greyish/green hue. As a soap maker, I know the feeling of looking at the baby barf green and just hoping it will look better are the soap cures. The next day it always looks better - but for the first 12 hours or so, I’m always very scared of how bad the soap will turn out.
