I was at the this show and these were some of the most awesome speakers at the entire show!!!
Fantastic
Open baffle just does something great to my soul .
That's no enclosure.
Note that they rented a room larger than most, so that the speakers can be a good distance from the walls.
Absolutely correct - extreme important is the distance to the backwall for imaging and soundstage. Sadly, very rare in private households.
These speakers are my unicorn.
RIP Siegfried
Love the sound, do you prefer these over the GR research speakers.?
The speakers remind me of the Lawrence Audio Mandolins.
Luv this channel. And these speakers. Even on AirPods the bass impact, speed & texture are apparent. With some room treatment they’d be unreal. It’s on my list. Are those boxes on the floor amps or crossover units?
Amps...I have a more detailed video about them on the channel from a few months ago. You might find that video series helpful
They are combined amp/crossover - this package that Magic sells is the speaker with those digital (Hypex based) amps and the ASP all in one box. It is his turnkey reference system.
I’d love to hear your comparison of Linkwitz and Spatial Audio
I'm going to do a separate video on open baffle comparisons since so many people ask.
Hi there !!! love the LX-521 gorgeous speakers.
Please let me know this, I have all my M&K Real Time Records indicating a guy called Steve McCormack as recording Eng. is him the same mentioned above ??
Yes...I have a video featuring him at the show you will like where he gives a talk about the M&K days
@@AudiophileJunkie thank you 🙏🙏. I'll see if I can find it among your posts.
What are the digital components used in this rig.
WHat is the track playing?
Ja, wir Deutschen lieben Panzerholz, es ist ein sehr starkes Schichtholzprodukt, in dem wir es erfunden haben WWII. yes we Germans Love Panzerholz it's a very strong layered wood product we invented it in WWII.
Now do you still need a pre amp with this set-up?
No..I have a more detailed video series a couple months ago that provides more details of you're interested in learning more.
@@AudiophileJunkie what’s the name of the video? And what are the digital components used in this video?
What did the Beatles sound like on these?
Steve McCormack was very impressed and he's a huge Beatles fan.
No vocalists?
The look of these speaker is not my taste, but the sound seems excellent.
Yeah I understand the concern with aesthetics. I personally think they are cool, but more than one person has told me that the looks are what disqualified them from buying.
Lindwitz designed speakers to be inexpensive and equal the totaly indulgent speakers. Now that Seas speakers have become overly priced that has ended for most. There are ways around this and not to buy China stuff which is a moral no. There is many very good used equipment that can be used to achive the same effect.
Great sound with ugly looks.
