Mike that in The Wizard of Oz used flamable make up with the actress Margaret and asbestus as "snow" 😮 That Kirsten Dunst reaction to spiders in Jumanji was real 😅
While others don't seem to be big fans of your singing/humming the theme songs, I'm really getting a kick out of it!😂 Keep doing you Mike, that's a big part of the reason I watch❤
To add to the titanic story, James Cameron is left-handed but, Leonardo Dicaprio It’s right handed so after filming Cameron drawing the picture they flipped it so it appeared that was being done right handed
I remember hearing that Michael Keaton was cast as Batman and everyone shocked by that. He had just done Beetlejuice and other comedy movies before so it was strange that he would be cast as Batman. But it turns out he did a damn good job in that role.
Wizard of Oz is an iconic movie, but a lot of questionable things happened on set. It does not surprise me that the munchkins were paid less than Toto.
Loving that shirt, Mike! Also love that you included something about Back to the Future, too! Seen that trilogy so many freaking times! 🤩 Anyway, when the original Star Wars(later given the addition to the title "Episode IV: A New Hope) first premiered in 1977, George Lucas initially thought the film would be a flop, but boy, was he ever proven wrong! From the movies to books, from tv series to toys and action figures, and even its own area in DisneyWorld/DisneyLand, the Star Wars franchise proved to be an extremely phenomenal and profitable franchise over the years, with a huge number of fans of it all over the world! 😃🤩
Another aspect of the actors playing the munchkins is many of them took the role as a way to get to America to avoid persecution as the holocaust started. People with dwarfism were considered "undesirables" by the Nazi regime, so they viewed the call to appear in the movie as their method of escape.
"Not really a fan of old black and white movies..." made me smile. I have two sons your age and as a child the youngest claimed old black and white TV shows made his teeth hurt.😄 Also, I'm a Bates from the small town of Vale, OR. My grandpa's brother built The Bates Motel there at least 6 years before Psycho was released. Keep up the Theme Songs and Puns, I love them!
Original movie The Bourne identity made for tv mini series was produced in the 1980s starring Richard chamberlain and Jacqueline Smith. Robert Ludlum was alive for this
Adam West, who played Batman in the 60's was asked to take over the part of James Bond after Sean Connery had a falling out with the producers after You Only Live Twice (he did come back to do Diamonds are Forever, though). West turned it down, saying that the role should go to a British actor. So they went out and got George Lazenby, an Australian actor, instead. Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood were also asked about taking the role, but they turned it down, too.
15:00 A similar thing happened with Hedgehogs when Sonic the Hedgehog (the game), was originally released. Lots of kids wanted hedgehogs after they played the game, and most of them were returned.
My favourite pieces film trivia, the blood in Pyscho was chocolate because Hitchcock thought the fake studio blood, didn't look right, and he figured because it was shot in black and white no one would know at the time. Then there's the rain in Singing In The Rain that was laced with milk, to make it more visual, I've always hoped it was diluted, hopefully powder milk, otherwise, not sure it did anything in the studio, under it any good.
theme is like Alfred calling batman at dinnertime, "dinner dinner dinner dinner batman" :P Talking about surprise expression I can't remember the film, but it had a roman chariot race, they trierd to get reaction from the crowd but it didn't look genuine, it was coming up to a break time, they wheeled out the tea trolley and blew it up, getting exactly the expression of horror they wanted
Paranormal Activity is shown in this video as "the most profitable film" with a 19,758% ROI. But the movie Deep Throat had a budget of $25,000 and a profit of $22,528,467 for an ROI of 90,014%.
You know that the Munchkins went wild, when they weren't filming The Wizard Of Oz, never before had so many little people had been in an environment where there were so many other little people, there's repots of wild parties, orgies, the police being called to break up wild shenanigans, etc..
Rats are awesome little pets they are affectionate and love snuggling into sweaters and stuff. My mom even loved our pet rat I brought home from school as a child and she was the one who didn't want him.
On Sean Connery and Bond: 007 creator Ian Fleming wan't too keen on Connery at first and preferred someone like Cary Grant or David Niven for Bond. But after seeing Connery in the role, he warmed up to him and wrote the Scottish background into the character.
They thought Toto did a better job, I watched a documentary, Judy garland almost had a nervous breakdown, they would look up her dress and other inappropriate things to a child so thats about right
My favorite movie fact is that John Carpenter was basically handed The whole idea of the movie Halloween from 1978 by Bob Cark director of black christmas 1974and a christmas story 1982.
Another great detail about the "Titanic" drawing. James Cameron is left handed. Leonardo DiCaprio is right handed. So Cameron had to draw the image backwards, and not only mirror the footage in post, but he also had to had to scan the drawing, mirror it, and print out copies of the mirrored version.
I find it funny you didn't mention Sean Connery in regards to Bond. One of the best Bonds. Yet you mentioned Craige??? Kinda hard to take your opinion into consideration after that.
I had pet rats before Ratatouille was even thought of. My favorite one contracted pneumonia and died before that movie was even released. She had such a unique personality that she chose to live with one of my guinea pigs. I still miss her.
Twister is the only monster movie made in which the real monster showed up during the filming. While they were making the movie, the area was hit by s storm and a tornado.
If a child wants animal they saw in a film, take them to the zoo, etc or buy them a toy version and get them a child friendly book on keeping pets. You could also introduce them to nature documentaries and a hobby like bird watching. That way they may realise pet owning is a serious responsibility.
8:01 I HATE when directors do that. I can see getting an extra in the can for safety, but why film it repeatedly when the first one was good. Makes you wonder if they always know what they’re doing. The subsequent shots couldn’t have all been worse.
I remember there was a rise in dalmatians being purchased as pets and then taken to shelters after 101 Dalmatians came out. It was sad how many did not consider how much care those pets would require or foresee the difference of the care of the cute puppies growing into rather large adults.
Impulse pets? My youngest daughter INSISTED that she HAD to have a Dalmatian after seeing 101dalmatians. I’m glad to say although this was her ONLY gift for Christmas that year, she took very good care of it and eventually was the proud owner of 3 Dalmatians over the subsequent years
I've heard that the first person the producers of Die Hard approached to play John McClane was Frank Sinatra. And that you can technically claim it's a sequel.
With the Toto V Munchkins the difference may have been due to the fact that the munchkins appeared in just one scene, while Toto was in the entire movie. In other words: more screen time = larger paycheck.
I'm pretty sure there was a lot of impulse buying of giant alligators after the premiere of Lake Placid. I think my neighbors bought one, although I can't confirm it without asking, and I haven't seen them since 1999.
There's a whole hour of scared footage from Suicide Squad Jared Leto wasn't too excited about the final cut to say the least,I would love nothing more than to see the unedited version
The video description needs tweaking slightly to put the timestamps in order on your movie facts video, Mike Also the first fact's timestamp needs an 0 before the :34
The wizard of oz pay thing, well toto had a heck of a lot more screen time, and thus was more important to the final total movies, thus was more valueable
It's CHRISTOPH WALTZ and NOT Christopher. OMG I hate when people can't pronounce names. How hard is it to make sure you get names right?? Also, did you know it was Quentin Tarantino's hand around Diane Kruger's neck in Inglourious Basterds and that he really chocked her to get the most authentic look?? That's a fact everyone should know. She was amazing.
If you hate when people can’t pronounce names correctly then I would love to hear if you can CORRECTLY pronounce my name!! It’s KADDIE CHANTIALY… And yes that’s my given first and middle names
Murry would have made a good Batman. If the direction of a flick was similar to the TV show's campiness. Murry is a silly champion and the TV series was most definitely that.
You are wrong about The Bourne Identity. There was a very successful movie in 1988 with the same title. Starring Richard Chamberlain and Jaclyn Smith. Many people who saw that movie actually like it better than the 2002 version.
With how AI and computer generated scenes are coming along, I am sure that one day we won't need the actual actors for a film. So a younger Bill Murray and a good story, it could look like an actual movie. Until it becomes easier to put together, then we would need to wait. Probably not long though.

I remember hearing that Michael Keaton was cast as Batman and everyone shocked by that. He had just done Beetlejuice and other comedy movies before so it was strange that he would be cast as Batman. But it turns out he did a damn good job in that role.
@@bsandey I had never expected Michael Keaton either. It is the best performance he ever gave. (He was never very funny.)
Wizard of Oz is an iconic movie, but a lot of questionable things happened on set. It does not surprise me that the munchkins were paid less than Toto.
Hitchcock liked to do cameos in his own films. His fans love to spot them.
Actual closing line for Gone With the Wind is: "After all, tomorrow is another day"
Interesting movie facts are fun. Thank you for the awesome video ❤😊❤
Glad you enjoyed!
You can see Rickman mouth "Oh shit" 😂
Afterwards understand he thanked the director when he saw how good it looked
Another aspect of the actors playing the munchkins is many of them took the role as a way to get to America to avoid persecution as the holocaust started. People with dwarfism were considered "undesirables" by the Nazi regime, so they viewed the call to appear in the movie as their method of escape.
Regarding A Clockwork Orange- that scene also had a real doctor to place those eye shots on him even though his cornea was scratched.
Keep those Great Videos coming!

But what about Robert LUDLUM?
I knew about Cameron drawing Kate windslet. I'm pretty sure this has been the only thing I've seen on any of your lists. I love your work. Keep it up
Interesting video!

The cat in the beginning of the godfather was homeless but jumped on to Don Vito Corleone lap
theme is like Alfred calling batman at dinnertime, "dinner dinner dinner dinner batman" :P
Talking about surprise expression
I can't remember the film, but it had a roman chariot race, they trierd to get reaction from the crowd but it didn't look genuine, it was coming up to a break time, they wheeled out the tea trolley and blew it up, getting exactly the expression of horror they wanted

Love it! 💜
Officially, the word “damn” was declared to not be a curse word, but a vulgarism.
Top 25 Soundtrack hummed by Mike ! ❤
Tom Selleck was almost Indiana Jones.
But he was locked into his Magnum PI contract.
James Cameron is also left handed and had to draw the picture right handed for the shot to keep continuity. You're welcome.
You know that the Munchkins went wild, when they weren't filming The Wizard Of Oz, never before had so many little people had been in an environment where there were so many other little people, there's repots of wild parties, orgies, the police being called to break up wild shenanigans, etc..

On Sean Connery and Bond: 007 creator Ian Fleming wan't too keen on Connery at first and preferred someone like Cary Grant or David Niven for Bond. But after seeing Connery in the role, he warmed up to him and wrote the Scottish background into the character.
I love Mike but he needs to leave the theme songs alone 😅
Seriously, almost unsubscribed it was so bad.
They thought Toto did a better job, I watched a documentary, Judy garland almost had a nervous breakdown, they would look up her dress and other inappropriate things to a child so thats about right
This ia a good one! Loved a Clo ck Work Orange!
My favorite movie fact is that John Carpenter was basically handed The whole idea of the movie Halloween from 1978 by Bob Cark director of black christmas 1974and a christmas story 1982.
Cameron has multiple talents!
08: Ironic, since Sigourney Weaver could be seen smoking in both ALIEN and ALIENS.
Stuart Townsend was almost Aragorn. In fact he is the first look at Aragorn we see.
That weird about the back to the future thing since Disney owns star wars and Luke and laya kiss as brother and sister
In Twister, the sound of the tornado is a slowed down camel moan.
Twister is the only monster movie made in which the real monster showed up during the filming. While they were making the movie, the area was hit by s storm and a tornado.
sudden realization.. so since Tim Burton directed Batman. Johnny Depp could have been Batman?
Here is a list idea 25 most iconic movie lines. I know that one of them would be "What we have here, is a failure to communicate " from Cool Hand Luke
The film "Fun With Dick and Jane" (2005) had the first scene of a person (Jane Fonda) sitting on and getting off a toilet, I believe.
If a child wants animal they saw in a film, take them to the zoo, etc or buy them a toy version and get them a child friendly book on keeping pets. You could also introduce them to nature documentaries and a hobby like bird watching. That way they may realise pet owning is a serious responsibility.
It's OK Mike, I'm a nerd too. Badabahhhhbadadabum!!🎶🎵
Thanks to MIB I love pugs even more than I did before that movie. To this day I still have pugs and don’t see myself not ever having one in my life.

😊
Boomer here. Nana nana nana nana. Nana, nana, nana, nana, Batman. Theme song for every Batman.
8:01 I HATE when directors do that. I can see getting an extra in the can for safety, but why film it repeatedly when the first one was good. Makes you wonder if they always know what they’re doing. The subsequent shots couldn’t have all been worse.

Jim Caviezel, who played Christ in the Passion of the Christ, was injured multiple times during filming for obvious reasons.
He was struck by lightning while hanging on the cross. He was also hit by a whip during the scourging scene. I don't know when else he was hurt.
For Sean Connery you could have chosen something from an action scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or something.
Loved my white rat, Horace. Rip, buddy😞.
I might be the only person that has not seen Titanic
Spoiler alert, it sank at the end of the movie
Me neither. No one can see every film, I'm sure there are films I've seen, that you haven't and vice versa.
Funny you should say that , I have never seen Fight Club 😮😅
Nope you are not. My husband has not seen it, and he says he never wants to see it.
YANA
Impulse pets? My youngest daughter INSISTED that she HAD to have a Dalmatian after seeing 101dalmatians. I’m glad to say although this was her ONLY gift for Christmas that year, she took very good care of it and eventually was the proud owner of 3 Dalmatians over the subsequent years
Captain Kirk never said 'Scotty beam me up!'

Ratatouille is a favorite and the last good pixar movie I saw

MAAAAAN, MIKE, ENTRY 15. YOU BROKE RULES 1 AND 2 #List25

In back to the future when Marty goes back to make sure his parent end up together and she want to mount him, you never saw back to the future
I'm pretty sure there was a lot of impulse buying of giant alligators after the premiere of Lake Placid. I think my neighbors bought one, although I can't confirm it without asking, and I haven't seen them since 1999.

The video description needs tweaking slightly to put the timestamps in order on your movie facts video, Mike
Also the first fact's timestamp needs an 0 before the :34
I'm here because I like your channel. I was disappointed when you seemed to disappear for several years.
We're back
Sean Conrey is the original James Bond!
Mike's in a singing mood today 🎶😅
I have not watched Titanic myself, so I guess there’s two of us
I think Murray would have made a good Joker ot Riddler
The wizard of oz pay thing, well toto had a heck of a lot more screen time, and thus was more important to the final total movies, thus was more valueable
I have never seen any of the Shrek films.
It's CHRISTOPH WALTZ and NOT Christopher. OMG I hate when people can't pronounce names. How hard is it to make sure you get names right??

Human error?
Mistake?
If you hate when people can’t pronounce names correctly then I would love to hear if you can CORRECTLY pronounce my name!! It’s KADDIE CHANTIALY… And yes that’s my given first and middle names
Mike... I now know you don't like black & white movies, but you gotta check out, Some Like It Hot.
Way ahead of its time.
I don't hate B&W movies! LoL
@@list25 lol.. oops, sorry.
Cristoph not Christopher Waltz.
Murry would have made a good Batman.
If the direction of a flick was similar to the TV show's campiness.
Murry is a silly champion and the TV series was most definitely that.
Sean Connery was in Indiana Jones ( he played Indiana's Dad)
You are wrong about The Bourne Identity. There was a very successful movie in 1988 with the same title. Starring Richard Chamberlain and Jaclyn Smith. Many people who saw that movie actually like it better than the 2002 version.
! ! ! I never knew that - I'll look for it.
Spaghetti westerns were the best!
I ❤ Paranormal Activity🥰
No singing please. LOL You are such a nerd. But we love you.
Yes, I can. Love Christopher Lloyd, not a fan of Back To The Future. Meh.
Watch the 1954 british movie A NIGHT TO REMEMBER black and white but a great drama about the Titanic
love love love movies
They made the Bourne identity movie first in the 80s. So technically he was alive. But it's your video
With how AI and computer generated scenes are coming along, I am sure that one day we won't need the actual actors for a film. So a younger Bill Murray and a good story, it could look like an actual movie. Until it becomes easier to put together, then we would need to wait. Probably not long though.
The first to go will be the stunt performers. CGI will make truly dangerous stunts possible.
You are hilarious 😆
Can you pronounce Christoph Waltz' name again?
Sean Connery didn’t understand LOTR.
