- Believe it or not, we are closer to Final Shape than we are to Lightfall's launch. That means we're entering vault cleaning territory to prepare our precious vault space. And up first, is Jez, who was so scarred from the past that I'm not sure he'll ever delete another hand cannon ever again.

Jez being so confident in saying "I don't have a craftable Ammit! How do you even get that?!" And then going to his auto rifle tab and seeing that Ammit is THE ONLY CRAFTABLE AUTO RIFLE HE HAS is hilarious. Not to mention right afterwards he says he wants Rufus's Fury craftable and also not wanting to do the raid.
To be fair, he wasn't lying, he didn't have a craftable Ammit. He just didn't know that he had the pattern unlocked and can make one.
Probably one of the handful of times I've felt genuinely inside Jez and connected with him.

Edit: Yes they got buffed but all the good ones are either new(ish), craftable, or you are already using them(or you are coping).
I have FOUR the ikelos void one, the chode (its the best pvp 180 posterity can suck my ass if theres a weapon type that can take advantage of the iron banner perk its a 180 haha), vulpecula yeah maybe I have to delete that and last but not least the epitaph.
Honestly, I've kind of enjoyed 180s for ad clear since the hand cannon buff

I dunno if I can go through this again, it was so painful seeing Jez be incapable of deleting anything that should be yeeted. Still love his humour and energy, though and datto is very good at predicting the future of destiny.

Eye of another world is good in PVP for passive cooldowns that go beyond 100 of a stat. Also used it in stasis gm builds if I didn't want osmiomancy.

You should buy a small window that you can actually safely jump through for next year when Jez still hasn't deleted any of those Igneous Hammer rolls.
Because of Jez absentmindedly hoarding exotic armor got me looking at my own stash now like.....Oh No......Datto's right.....(as usual)
To be fair, when you have 67+ stat exotic armors, you generally want to keep it unless the stats are very similar.

Third time I’ve seen this vault cleaning and it’s just as funny as the first time 😂
It's easier to delete raid weapons when you remember that VotD and DSC have a free chest right at the start that you can grab on your own at least 3 times a week and eventually end up crafting all the weapons that you had in your collections given enough time without even bothering to complete an encounter ever again.

I still find Jez's, caveman like, approach of trying to force the square peg of "I hate Destiny" into the round hole of "Destiny based content" both entertaining and infuriating. When he and Datto get together it's like a train wreck, I don't want to watch, but I can't look away.

Eye of Another World is the crux of my strand warlock PvP build. It gives big regen bonuses to all three abilities, which is key for making the loop of that build work. Ability regen is way harder to come by in PvP when you can’t just mow down thrall and pick up 18 orbs whenever you want.

I’m curious on what the Datto community think of Aegis’s ‘endgame tier lists’ of each weapon type? Is it pretty much spot on? I’m kind of struggling with my vault through hoarding everything. I just want to get to a point where I have BIS for each damage type in all the weapons
I’m guesstimating that a best in slot for every type of gun or situation might end up with around 100-150 guns so that might be overdoing it. The aegis vids are pretty good but don’t optimize the fun out of the game while you’re at it, keep a gun if it’s fun, you know?
His videos are really informative and interesting, but I would also say that they don't really apply for 90% of players. Most of his rankings depend heavily on using those weapons in a very high end fashion, like in a GM or for speedrunning. But in general yeah that's good info for helping get rid of some stuff, especially the lower rankings
aegis absolutely knows what he's talking about, far more than datto does. datto's good and entertaining but aegis is far better and his lists are extremely accurate

i love Eye of another world, but couldn't care less about the AE or the highlight targets. I use it for the +30 disc +30 str +30 recov that all are allowed to exceed the 100 cap. where else can i get 130 disc and recov and str all the time passively on any subclass?

180's with an active damage perk can already 3-tap. They're also usable if you actually use them within their intended range. They aren't going to get a range buff. Bungie literally just redid the range for every weapon archetype when they decoupled range from zoom.
Is it really a vault-cleaning video if there aren't guardians off to the side mucking things up
My Outlaw Adagio Vulpecula is just biding its time. Any even SLIGHT buff to 180s will glue it to my hip.
Eye of Another World is awesome for Bleak Watcher
Eye of Another World is actually really really good on Stasis Warlock in PvP. The targeting is useless, but the bonus ability energy is quite noticeable. Using the frostpulse aspect with high strength, recovery, and discipline means you have basically unlimited freezes at any moment. I used my rift 20 seconds ago? That's fine, I just got another one. I just dumped my whole kit into a group of enemies? That's fine, everything will be back before you can say "Eye of Another World is trash." I use this combo a lot in PvP and if there's an enemy using an annoying loadout like Le Monarque or Sweet Business or whatever I can use my freeze rift, melee and grenade to just chain freeze that person multiple times for the express purpose of disrespecting them as well as their future blood line. It's beautiful. All made easier by Eye of Another World. I'll grant you that it's basically useless in 99% of other circumstances and builds, but in this particular use case it reigns supreme.
Helped a friend clean a vault from 584 to 219. Now I'm helping my group clean their vaults. Organization is my passion now.

I try to fill my vault at the end of season. Deelete stuff day one and then 2 vault cleanings during the season.

It's a great exotic in general even for PVE if you are more focused on using abilities.

Hey datto this might be a bit of a long one but how can I get better in carrying my clan mates and friends in gms cause they don't have good builds or stats to help me it's fun to be doing the best but frustrating when if I make any mistakes we go to orbit
I'm scared.... but I like using EoAW.... Ember of Benevolence+EoAW ability regen is nice....
As a pvp player I agree with jez 100% you can never have enough handcannons.

eye of another world just gives stat bonuses to recov, discipline and strength. It just handy to spam abilities. Plus it goes above 100. I'm just kinda surprised that it isn't used in more neutral game use. Much love to that exotic but i understand the hate 🤣
In all iterations of the Ammit discovery, has no one pointed out that Jez had actually clicked the pattern already? It wasn't blinking and had the checkmark on it.
EDIT: Also, love that Datto is still meme-ing on Khackis for the Ogma mispronounce.
EDIT 2: Eye of Another World was good for Turret spam prior to Osmiomancy. I'm not sure why it and 40 other exotics exist anymore.
