To think that these days devices often hit the bench in the order of viability and not always in the order they were received. This board wasn't here long before hitting the bench! Yeesh - I was worried you might come around here and catch me cheating on you using ZXW! :-o
Brother, OMG! Such horror you really are one of the great, to bring that phone back is just unbeliveable. Thank you for sharing! Keep up the great work!
LOL, you talk to the components as though they were your children, "there you go little guy, you can make it". Great job. Look forward to the next video.
@@ststele keep going my 7 plus one mouth a go is be off because of moathreponde and I show every one is say is death but after I see you video I believed my phone is can work again
you're so good at this why you stopped making videos is really sad ive watched so many of your videos i enjoy them even though i dont think ill ever be as skilled as you
Nice, Jason! Love your videos! You’re very fun, very very fun 😂 but, it’s, I don’t know, your work is not like a work, it’s most like an “art”. It’s very careful and well done! Thanks man!
Wow...the components looked like they moved around like a bunch of ice cubes on a hot dinner plate 😲 I will give anything a go repairing it but I know my abilities and circuitry that requires micro soldering I will not touch. I've transferred memory ic's from old damaged vehicle key fobs to a new key fob to avoid having to reprogram the anti theft system but I wouldn't go anywhere near something like a phone. Excellent job mate 👍
So was he using a propane or butane torch to cause that? Maybe it was oxy acetylene? Good job he stopped to take his meds before he did any real damage. I hear they stopped allowing naked flames in padded cells after this.
Hey, maybe do you know what’s wrong with my iphone 8+? My iphone 8+ randomly restarts or shuts off. It can shut down after 1 hour of using or 3hours of using or any time. No other symptoms. I have done factory reset, updated to latest ios, changed battery and the problem keeps the same. In iphone analytics data writes: panic bug type 210 or 211
That carnage.. man oh man. It's like he used a flamethrower instead of a hot air gun.. Wowsers. You, sir, are the man! edit: my word, as if it were a river of lava. After you removed the shield and those caps just, we use the term floated them down, these floated downstream! oh man..
I feel so good about myself. When I first use my hot air gun it was only an Arduino Nano I destroyed by having everything on full. Even then it was only an IC and SMD I moved. I think many of us amateurs might have got over enthusiastic with the air gun when they first used it. They should give a free supply of patience with many tools.
Weirdly I somehow ended up with the reverse issue. Literally nothing happens for a ridiculously long time (like 5 minutes for a single 3 pin IC), and then when something does happen, it bridges everything immediately despite the fact that I put the thing on there in the right spot.
Wow your a better tech than I would be ! I’m just “cringing” about all those missing components ! Lol 😂 On one hand I get it, the cost of time ,and components. However my OCD would “make me” replace every last component. Just cause. Good on you for sticking to a better business model! And btw your one of the more entertaining of the techs on UA-cam!
Well done jason :-D, the multiple car pile up has been healed. But some bits of the sidewalk need restoration. And some of the paving stones have vanished. I do talk some crap :-D
Hi Jason, Are you able to fix a Apple iPod Classic? (The last of the Classic) It just won’t turn on at all! I had a phone repair shop look at it and they couldn’t fix it. I however believe in you! One problem….. I’m in Australia! Would you be happy to give it a go? Cheers.
From the look of that board the customer must have used a heat gun similar to one that is used for removing paint off a wall. Either that or maybe a leaf blower and a propane torch. WOW ! ! !
We have been taking in more Samsung and LG's here lately. I've been hiding behind the scenes with most Android devices that come through. Planning to start posting more non-Apple videos!

I'm not even quite sure where it comes from really. It sort of just happened over time I think. Only these children never grow up. LOL - Thanks!

Are you still using the hot tweezers from Hakko? If not, what have you replaced it with? I'm planning of buying them
21.38 I’m yelling at you that the cap in the wrong orientation and the caps flew away. 🤣
Can you tell me the temperature and air flow you use for reballing
can you give me a link to buy spare parts such as capacitors, resistors, diodes etc. for iphone only.
