  • Trusty's road trip to the east coast focused on Pennsylvania. Attending his daughter's graduation in Carlisle, Trusty stopped in 6 stores in the Pittsburgh area, 2 in Carlisle itself and 3 in Adamstown. Unfortunately...not all stores got covered in these videos. But plenty of items were picked up both for resale - yes you can find items for resale in antique malls! - and his own collections.
    Resellers met along the way:
Rebecca from Kitschy n Bitchy - Instagram @kitschynbitchy
Melody from Melody's Many Misc. in the UA-cam Live Sale Chats
Stores Visited - and included in this video:
Antique Mall Ohio River - Pittsburgh, PA
EN Miller Antique Mall - Verona, PA
Miller Crossing Fleatique - Irwin, PA
    Lutz Antiques - Carlisle, PA
Mad Hatter Antique Mall - Adamstown, PA

I have a full time day gig, and part of this trip was around a trip for that. But I always do a hotel when I travel and when it's just for the reselling business, I keep those records for tracking at tax time as expenses. Thanks for watching

The bull fights ,I watched every sunday. TV and got the translation in english on the radio. When I was growing up

      @TrustyHucksterMercantile  3 роки тому

maybe if we listened to bull fights, this would have made sense. Alas, no. It was simply a very talented saleswoman (dare I say...huckster!) convincing my mother than Spanish Revival - in plastic - was the next hot trend in 70s decor! lol Thanks for watching

The upside down table display is very cool. I don't collect it either, but that Pyrex display was great! Wow! So many of those flower frogs. I have never seen those in the wild. I've never seen a hanging ashtray either.

Now that you’ve seen them you’ll see more. I’ve only seen a couple but they were no longer hanging. They could sit flat. So check to see if they have a hook or something. But the really cool ones CAN’T sit. Just a cool design. Thanks for watching

That fire bucket is very cool! I've seen the youngster use 'kewl' and a hip way of spelling cool. Kids these days! lol! I would've been all over those Impala coasters! Loving that upside down table installation, very clever. In England, the tilt top table ( when round or oval) is called a 'Loo table" to play the card game Loo or sometimes called Lanterloo. OMG! Those flower frogs! You must have been in heaven! Great video bud!

I enjoyed the variety in this video. Jocelyn, Dagney and Michael Cult.of.Vintage were recently at Mad Hatter and I marveled at that San Francisco Bridge art piece when @crazylamplady passed by it. Thank you for showing it. I’ll be in Carlisle next month (yep, she and Drew made it a tourist destination for me) and I can’t wait to visit some antique shops/malls in the area.

I don't have it anymore, but Mad Hatter gave me a map of all of the local places. I did go to one more antique mall while in Adamstown, but I didn't have a lot of time so didn't film it - but I got a TON of stuff for resale. Something about a hill maybe? Maybe the color Pink? I can't remember. Then Renniger's is there too and I didn't have time for that either. Enjoy!

@@TrustyHucksterMercantile I’m only going to have time for Carlisle, Gettysburg, the Williams Grove flea market and a Pirates game this time. I’m planning to go back in 2022-3 for more shopping and more Gettysburg as there’s a new museum that will open in Fall 2022 with a more extensive focus on the Underground Railroad that I want to study so, darn, I have to go back. More treasure hunting opportunities - yay! And I got my dish girl with the dress Tuesday - I love it!!!!

I don't know, maybe crushed orange velvet needs to come back along with Mediterranean style from the late 60s & 70s... Like the bull and matador. The black pipe rest/ashtray looks like it may have been made by Coco Joes, a Hawai'i company that manufactured tourist souvenirs.

Adamstown is always so much fun to visit...so much good stuff, eye candy that you don't see at other places. The tension pole floor lamp reminds me of my grandparents. They had the same one except the shades were pastel colors. I wish I still had it!
