I know. But the whole cycle of changing the tool could be optimized and sped up so that it wouldn't consume that much time. Why would you move up in the Z axis all the way if it would be more than enough if you would go 300mm up? The precision doesn't have anything to do with the speed of a tool change.
This thing is outdated already that plc cabinet was giant and overly complex, you can tell it's box ways because it's slow. what modern cnc machine shops want is speed they want faster!
