I thought David was the movie buff of the group? He said that Drew Barrymore was the "star" of ET. While the film certainly launched her career the star of the show was Henry Thomas. Drew was merely a supporting character at best.
David used Drew Barrymore as a hint for Jose and Matt to guess correctly. We film live and try to only edit and make cuts when necessary, so sometimes we don't use the right words. Totally agree she is just a supporting cast member. :)
