Hi Norm hope your well. How the change from the RT.? Iv just changed from Rt to a R1250Rs. Even thou it was my 3rd Rt I was nervous recently at slow speed at junctions & moving it about on drive & garage really didn’t want to drop it. Iv put a touring screen on the bike & im happy with the ride & it so much lighter.
Hi Martyn, I was very happy with the RT but just wanted a change and love the GS. The problem you describe is exactly what I experienced with the 1050GS. Too tall for me and at every junction thought I would drop it. I never had that problem with the 1200GS or now the 1250GS because I believe the seat is more narrow, so BMW tell me. BUT I still have to persuade my wife to come on the GS. That has cost me more than £500 so far in Wunderlich lowered rear pegs and a lowered pillion seat.😱
Hi Martyn, I'm going through a similar change from a R1250GS to a R1250R which arrives at dealers on Wednesday. Weight of bike, height of bars when manoeuvring off the bike and seat height all contributed to the change. GS is a fantastic bike, just got back from a week in Europe but head needs to rule heart as you get older.
Hi Colm, We all have SENA. Goddie and myself have the SENA built into our Shoei helmets and Mike has a SENA 20S on the side of his helmet. I also had a Sent 20S and was really worried about changing to the inbuilt system but it is just amazing. All those years we had wired Autocom and could never make out what each one was saying!
Hi Chris, it is not too difficult. 1. GoPro 10 so much better with media ‘frame/mount’. 2. Small lapel mic cable tied to Sena mic in front of my mouth and hidden under the wind muffler. 3. Old Sena flat mic stuck to one of the helmet speakers. That is tricky🤷🏼♂️ 4. Cable from the lapel mic and old Sena mic plug into a 3.5mm ‘splitter’ (2 into 1 from Amazon) and then directly into the back of the GoPro🤗 Then I have a power bank in my pocket plugged directly into the GoPro 10 which means virtually all day riding without changing batteries 🤗. 256gb card gives me about 7 hours recording in 4K 🥳
Love your bike, Norm! Very jealous! Ride safe.
Thanks Lord Grievous, yes we are all very happy 🤩
Loved the ending....3 bad boys on 3 VERY BAAAAD bikes!!!!!! 😊
Ha ha...you are right there!
Beautiful ride!!!!
Everyone should go to Wales eh

Hi Norm, sorry, but the car park part of the video at the hotel was a gift to be enjoyed many times🤭
We aim to cause amusement Ian...must admit I had a good laugh as well! 🤣🤣

Hey Norm how do you get your coms recorded on your GoPro?
