December is also a good month to come to Penang, as the weather may not be hot. If you like to visit the historic old streets, it is very convenient to stay in the Georgetown area（Hotels near Komtar, Penang Road and Chulia Street）. It is easy to walk in and out. If you prefer a beach vacation, a resort hotel in the Batu Ferringhi area will be good. Hope you have a pleasant trip!
