Dream On has almost become the national anthem of "hitting the high note" in a rock song. Particularly a male-dominated rock song.

But Sara also wanted to put her hat in the ring for this epic anthemic arena piece!
I've mentioned this before, and it is worth noting again, in that era of Steven Tyler's career, he basically had two voices.
One voice was his lower and middle voice belting register and the other was a lot of high screams, but there wasn't much high/mid-range belting from his voice at that point in his career.
I personally believe his more difficult stuff was his movie soundtrack music and songs he did later which showcased his high range in a belted chest-resonant sound.
But nonetheless, this song has become iconic when it comes to hitting the high note!

Oh my! Sara is totally in another league when it comes to the total package. Insane vocal power and clarity and a "look" that kills!

The vocalist's timbre is deep, resonant and soul-filling. Aerosmith's poetry is touching, but this rendition is second to none!

I never though Sara would be able to reach the voice pitch of Steven Taylor because of his purring (cat like) style of singing...specially in the highest notes when he practically yells instead sing...now i know the reason Steven has lost his vocal chords...but in the other hand, Sara sang like a real goddes and i felt in love with her low voice...i love the way she controls the air even she was singing loud but with a middle bass register...such a great job Ken !! What can I say other than "WOW!"? Sara is always an absolute highlight to listen to, and seeing the passion with which she does so is food for the soul!
One aspect that I really love about this take on this difficult song is how Sara manages to convey exactly the same feeling and emotion as Steven, yet puts her own recognizable spin on the whole thing. A perfect balance, in my opinion, which can't be easy to achieve!
