Interesting food for thought. I'll try these ideas in my next practice session.....

Ive been teaching myself to play last 5 years with only knowing the main cowboy chords. Lol. Bought a black strat because of DGilmour. Lol. My son had been playing since he was ten and always asked me to get my own so i eventually did but he had moved after grad. Lol. Anyway im really here to say, having a looper truly helped me. Listening to the chords you lay down and it helps if you feel what you laid down. Am blues is easy to get into the feel too. Great choice in my opinion. Im now slowing down more as ive gone from just ambient exploration with bending snd meandering about trying to create melodics over it. Now im getting into finding blues licks as i go using easy little riffs on looper. Im learning slowly but surely. I need to, i know, learn more theory of what i am doing technically but i get caught up in the feeling .... this is a great channel. You i think ive been subbed to since i started in 2018 2019. 😅

There isn't really a backing track - this was just a simple 12-bar blues in Am that I put into my looper pedal before I started recording the video.
